You will be joining the journey to build a financial platform and become a companion to the Latino community in the United States!

We're obsessed with our customers, and we're building a product that truly empowers them. We are a team of extremely talented high performers, loyal to each other, and committed to providing a magical experience to all our users. We're all owners, driven by a shared vision to create sustainable value. We move with urgency and focus, always striving for excellence and exceeding expectations.

About the Role

Félix is building a consumer lending business—starting with Send Now, Pay Later (SNPL) and expanding into personal loans, credit cards, and beyond. The engine behind all of it is a reusable lending platform: the bank integrations, loan management and servicing systems, underwriting architecture, and money movement that every credit product is built on.

We're looking for a Lead Product Manager to own the strategy for that platform. This is not a feature-shipping role. You will decide how our lending infrastructure scales to support multiple products—what becomes a shared, reusable capability versus what each product builds for itself, and the trade-offs behind those calls. You'll own the product strategy for our sponsor-bank integrations (including expanding beyond our first bank partner), our loan management system, and the architecture of our underwriting and servicing components. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our engineering team and partner closely with our horizontal platform teams (payments, ledger, identity, AI), our credit risk and compliance leaders, and external partners like our sponsor bank and lending infrastructure vendors.

You'll start as a high-impact strategist and build a team beneath you as the platform grows, beginning with a Technical Program Manager. You'll report directly to the Head of Consumer Lending. This is one of the most strategically important roles in our lending organization, and you'll operate as a peer to senior leaders across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Own and author the multi-year product strategy for Félix's lending platform: how bank integrations, loan management, underwriting components, and money movement evolve to power multiple credit products at scale.
  • Make the platform's core architectural product decisions—what is built once as a reusable capability versus custom-built per product—and be accountable for the trade-offs, including cost, speed, and long-term maintainability. Note, you will work closely with our Engineering Manager on the actual architecture decisions.
  • Own the product strategy for our sponsor-bank integration layer, including making it bank-agnostic to support additional bank partners and reduce concentration risk.
  • Develop and establish platform product development processes and documentation standards so other teams can consume reusable components.
  • Drive the product direction for our loan management system (LMS) and its integrations across servicing, ledger, payments, and bureau reporting.
  • Partner with Credit Risk and Data Science on the architecture of underwriting and decisioning components so they are reusable across products.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional efforts across engineering, risk, compliance, finance, and the company's horizontal platform teams—exposing lending capabilities that product teams can consume, and consuming platform capabilities where they're the best option.
  • Represent Félix in technical and commercial conversations with external partners, including our sponsor bank(s) and lending infrastructure vendors—including negotiating product constructs that touch new regulatory or account structures.
  • Establish the planning, scoping, and documentation discipline this platform needs to scale, and help set the standard for how our lending organization plans and executes in a multi-product, matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in product management, with 3-4 years building or integrating reusable infrastructure components in regulated financial services—lending, cards, banking, or payments. Consumer lending experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience building products from 0-1. The products you will work with are new so must be comfortable making major architectural decisions with little guidance and in environments with a lot of ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated systems thinking: you design for how a system scales, not just for the next feature. You can point to times you got the reusable-vs-custom call right—and times you got it wrong and what it cost.
  • Deep fluency in how financial systems integrate: APIs, event-driven architectures, ledgers, and third-party platforms. You can hold your own in an architecture conversation with senior engineers and know the right questions to ask about reconciliation, idempotency, and money movement. A formal engineering background is welcome but not required—demonstrated architectural judgment matters more than credentials.
  • Direct experience owning build-vs-buy decisions for core financial infrastructure (e.g., an LMS, a decisioning engine, a bank or payments integration), including living with the consequences.
  • Experience working inside or alongside a regulated environment—sponsor-bank relationships, compliance functions, or bank partnerships—with the instincts to navigate them without slowing to a crawl.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership: you've led through influence across engineering, risk, compliance, and external partners, and you've been the company's trusted face to a bank, vendor, or partner.
  • Fluent English required; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus given our team and users.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model out of Miami, or to travel frequently to Miami and to México City. Miami-based strongly preferred.

What We Offer

  • Initial stock options grant

  • Health, dental, and vision plans
