About this role:


As Lead, Product Documentation, you will own the Magnite Help Center and lead the company’s technical writing practice. This senior individual-contributor role combines hands-on content creation with platform, user experience, and content operations ownership.


You will set the strategy and roadmap for the Help Center, manage the underlying platform, and continuously improve its information architecture, search, navigation, and overall user experience. As Magnite’s primary technical writer, you will create and maintain clear, accurate documentation across our technology platforms while using AI-enabled tools to make content development and maintenance more efficient and scalable.


In this role, you will: 


  • Own the strategy, roadmap, platform management, and ongoing development of the Magnite Help Center.
  • Improve the Help Center experience by optimizing its information architecture, search, navigation, and content discoverability using analytics and user feedback.
  • Lead Magnite’s technical writing practice, establishing documentation standards, templates, governance, and publishing workflows.
  • Produce content in the formats best suited to each user need, including guides, release notes, FAQs, diagrams, tables, code samples, audio, and video.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to scale content creation and maintenance while ensuring editorial quality and technical accuracy.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to support product launches and make relevant documentation available contextually within Magnite’s product portfolio.
  • Collaborate across Product Marketing and client-facing teams to prioritize documentation needs and keep content aligned with business and customer priorities.

We're looking for someone with:


  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, product documentation, knowledge management, or a related discipline, preferably for complex software products.
  • Experience owning or administering a client-facing Help Center, knowledge base, or content management platform such as Document360 or Confluence.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible guidance.
  • Expertise in information architecture, taxonomy, content governance, and documentation lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-enabled tools to improve the efficiency and scalability of content production.
  • The technical fluency to work effectively with engineers and understand software development processes, APIs, integrations, and product workflows.
  • Experience using analytics, search behavior, and customer feedback to identify content gaps and improve self-service.
  • Strong project and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through influence.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in advertising technology or another complex B2B technology environment is a plus.

In California, the base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000.

In Colorado, the base salary range for the role is $115,000 - $125,000.

Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.
