About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, analytical Lead Sales Operations Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between Sales Operations and Finance, taking ownership of post-sale deal analysis to ensure financial compliance, accurate revenue forecasting, and smooth operational handoffs.

You will review all closed-won deals to flag unique, non-standard, or complex deal structures for Finance, maintaining weekly touchpoints to keep cross-functional stakeholders aligned. Beyond day-to-day deal desk duties, you will leverage process automation and AI tools to streamline review workflows, scale operations, and reduce manual friction across the revenue pipeline.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Deal Review & Finance Governance

  • Review 100% of booked/closed deals to audit deal terms, custom clauses, discount structures, payment terms, and billing cadence.

  • Identify and flag non-standard, high-risk, or unique deal structures (e.g., custom SLAs, early termination options, non-standard billing schedules) for Finance and Revenue Accounting approval.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Finance, leading weekly cross-functional syncs to present deal updates, post-close modifications, and revenue recognition considerations.

  • Ensure strict adherence to internal deal desk policies, pricing guidelines, and revenue compliance standards.

2. Process Automation & Modernization

  • Map and evaluate the current deal intake and review workflow to uncover bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

  • Design, build, and maintain process automations to automate deal flagging and routing.

  • Integrate AI tools to automatically extract key contract terms, summarize unique deal clauses, and speed up audit cycles.

  • Identifying and implementing best practices for deal management.

3. Analytics & Strategic Insights

  • Track and analyze trends in deal structures, discounting patterns, and custom terms to identify recurring operational friction points.

  • Build and maintain real-time dashboards tracking deal turnaround times, non-standard deal frequencies, and cross-functional SLA performance.

  • Translate complex sales data into actionable insights for Sales Leadership and Finance to optimize future pricing and packaging strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact effectively with executives, functional peer groups and subordinates to gain commitment and cooperation from others, especially those in other departments with competing priorities

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills; ability to lead meetings internally and externally and executive briefings. Often takes a leading role in senior level presentations with management teams                            

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel

  • Understanding of cross functional process knowledge to drive efficiency into quote to cash processes

  • Strives to improve performance and to have a significant impact on department’s success

  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills

  • Articulate compelling qualitative and quantitative business cases for process improvement

  • Effectively gives direction to team members to accomplish complex deals

Functional/Technical  (education, certifications, and training)

  • Bachelor’s degree/MBA from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or a related field

  • 3-5 years of Operations experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in a process improvement focused environment

  • Consulting experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Oracle CRM system, AppScript and Google AI tools
