Littelfuse is seeking a Lead Solutions Systems Architect to drive the system architecture and application strategy for our semiconductor solutions within the rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) market.

In this strategic role, you will define how our technologies are integrated into utility-scale energy storage solutions, including emerging Solid State Transformer (SST) architectures. You'll collaborate with customers, Product Management, R&D, and Application Engineering to shape next-generation solutions that accelerate innovation and enable the future of energy.

What You'll Do
  • Define and evolve system-level architectures for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including:
    • Power Conversion Systems (PCS)
    • Inverter topologies
    • Protection strategies
    • Emerging Solid State Transformer (SST) designs
  • Translate customer requirements, market trends, and competitive insights into scalable solution roadmaps.
  • Partner with Product Management and R&D to define future semiconductor product requirements.
  • Serve as the technical authority during customer engagements with OEMs and system designers.
  • Develop reference architectures, technical collateral, and solution blueprints.
  • Support Application Engineering and Field Application Engineers on complex customer challenges.
  • Influence technology strategy, design wins, and long-term business growth.
  • Represent Littelfuse through technical presentations, publications, and industry conferences.
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in:
    • Power Electronics
    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
    • Semiconductor applications
  • Strong expertise in:
    • System-level power conversion architectures
    • Inverters, converters, and grid-connected systems
    • Semiconductor technologies including Si, SiC, and GaN
  • Experience collaborating across customers, Product Management, and R&D.
  • Demonstrated success influencing technical direction with OEMs or strategic customers.
  • Expertise with multi-level inverter topologies (NPC, ANPC, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with utility-scale BESS or Power Conversion Systems (PCS).
  • Knowledge of Solid State Transformers (SST) or next-generation energy conversion technologies.
  • Experience developing system architectures or application roadmaps.
  • Proficiency with PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with standards such as UL 9540, UL 1741, IEC 62933, and grid interconnection requirements.
  • Experience presenting at technical conferences or publishing industry papers.

Salary Range:

$123,100 - $190,780

The salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
