CNO Financial Group is hiring a Learning Technology Solutions Engineer to design and maintain python scripts and services to automate internal workflows between internal and third-party platforms and support integrations involving learning, data visualization, and operational systems.

Core responsibilities and deliverables:

• Design, implement, and manage sustainable solutions across diverse applications, mainly the Learning Management System and interrelated business systems.
• Incorporate security, architecture, and user experience principles and best practices with designs and solutions following a continuous improvement cycle.
• Document architecture, processes, data definitions, and workflows to support shared understanding and long-term scalability.
• Strengthening data quality, governance, security, and platform reliability through thoughtful and sustainable engineering practices.
• Effectively collaborate within a Kanban team supporting non-technical teams and initiatives that prioritize the consumer sales division.
• Investigate and solve level 3 escalations of system challenges and problems while offering technical mentorship through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What you need (Minimum requirements):

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
• Five years of related technical experience, with increasing responsibility.
• Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.
• Understand and orchestrate back-end communication between learning assets (SCORM, AICS, session tracking, etc.), systems, and browsers to anticipate, mitigate, and troubleshoot end-user challenges.
• Are comfortable navigating complexity and solving ambiguous challenges within aging infrastructure of a regulated industry, and an established sales organization.
• Strong communication, with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaboration approach that values feedback and collective success.
• Can identify and implement workflow improvements that minimize manual, repetitive activities.
• Problem-solving skills that lean toward sustainability and practical solutions.
• Comfortable communicating with non-technical stakeholders.

What will set you apart (Preferred experience):

• Master’s degree in engineering, Automation, or related field
• Scrum Alliance certifications, SAFe certifications, Cornerstone Developer, Seismic certifications.
• Ten years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
