Job Overview Summary

Our Summer Intern Program is aimed at providing an enriching and mutually beneficial experience that empowers young talent with the skills, knowledge, and values needed to excel in their chosen fields and prepare them for the next step in their careers. In addition to their working teams, the cohort will have regular opportunities to engage with each other and senior leaders from across Advarra to expand their networks and exposure to the business. 

Summer Interns will work closely with members of the Legal Department to provide legal support across various functions of the company. You will gain valuable experience in legal research, drafting documents, and assisting with legal projects that are critical to the company’s growth and operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience and exposure to various legal practice areas in a fast-paced and innovative environment. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including contracts and policies 
  • Assist with legal research on a variety of topics, including corporate governance, intellectual property, contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance 
  • Help with compliance tasks, including monitoring legal developments and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations 
  • Participate in meetings, take notes, and contribute to discussions regarding ongoing legal projects 
  • Support the legal team in managing corporate filings, records, and internal documentation 
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of internal policies and procedures 
  • Assist in the drafting of legal correspondence and reports 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, information security, HR, and operations, to support legal initiatives 
  • Perform other legal administrative tasks as required 

Location 

This role is open to candidates working remotely in ​the United States​. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required  
  • Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD) program or equivalent legal degree program at an accredited law school strongly preferred 
  • Strong interest in corporate law, commercial law, compliance, intellectual property, or other relevant practice areas 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to participate in the cohort beginning Monday, June 1, 2026 and running through Friday, August 7, 2026 and work either part time or full time between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm EST 
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous internship or relevant legal experience is a plus, but not required 
  • Must possess personal integrity and effective problem-solving skills   
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills   
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills 
  • Attention to detail and goal oriented  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately 

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs. 
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking
