About The Position

As a Lifecycle Leader for Giredestrant you will lead the asset(s) strategy and portfolio from research through to the patient. You will play a critical role in leading the Life Cycle Team (LCT) and acting as accountable to the Late Stage Portfolio Committee (LSPC), maximizing the value of a product for patients, society, and the company by leading an integrated, global and cross-functional strategy and team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Vision (Shaping the Long-Term Path)

  • Partner with the Commercial Leadership Team, Pharma Development and others  to unlock the value of Giredestrant through up-coming launches as well as through on-going and future clinical studies.

  • Serve as the key point of accountability in execute on the short-term and shape the long-term vision and strategy for Giredestrant - which can be large and/or complex - in partnership with various internal functions ranging from research, development, key markets, commercial, etc. and external partners.

  • Supporte relevant early development asset teams, licensing, and other business development activities to grow the portfolio.

2. Integrated Leadership & Decision making (Driving Cross-Functional Success)

  • Driving alignment and integrated decision-making with the various cross-functional teams to realise the potential of the asset(s), within the context of the disease area and therapeutic area strategies.

  • Working with other asset and lifecycle teams to realise portfolio opportunities. 

  • Serving as an inspiring leader, aligning people towards a vision while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and trust.

  • Serving as a thought partner and sounding board for cross organisation teams and relevant internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that franchise and enterprise goals are met.

3. Lifecycle Value & Execution (Maximizing Value and Delivery)

  • Accountable for the strategic fit, resource ask and the delivery of the business case to the governance.

  • Continually assess and evolve the asset strategy in the context of external dynamics and new opportunities, by evaluating and triggering different value levers to maximise the asset's potential.

  • Integrated leadership to propose and deliver indications, formulations, devices, diagnostics and digital tools, along with the evidence generation strategy, to address the appropriate treatable population in collaboration with various internal teams and research organisations.

Who You Are

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a marketing, business management, or life sciences discipline. MD, PhD, or other relevant graduate, postgraduate degree, or MBA  (depending on the Lifecycle of the product) is an additional plus.

  • Substantial Pharma Experience: Demonstrable previous accomplishments should include developing and overseeing the execution of breakthrough development and/or commercial strategies that led to considerable financial results. Equally important are product management and launch experience. An ability to quickly come up to speed and navigate technical, supply, development and regulatory challenges  utilising a deep understanding of global health systems, access and reimbursement challenges.

  • Therapeutic Area (oncology) and breast cancer knowledge and experience is mandatory.

  • Strategic & Global Leadership: The role requires outstanding leadership skills with a proven track record in building teams and the ability to influence in a cross-functional environment. You should have exceptional strategic orientation and agility, with an outstanding ability to develop a long-term vision and a deep understanding of the global pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry to create robust and innovative business strategies. Exceptional stakeholder management across levels, prioritization of work packages, providing teams clarity and leading through an evolving environment are key skills that are mandatory. 

  • Final leveling will be aligned with the selected candidate’s experience and specialized expertise.

  • Maximizing Value: Success is achieved by maximizing the product's lifecycle value to patients, society, and the company.

  • Execution and Financial Targets:  Ensuring the timely, on-target, and within-budget delivery of the product strategy, including meeting key milestones and financial targets for the product.

  • Leadership and Accountability: A key measure of success is the ability to effectively develop and lead a high performing team to create and deliver the asset strategy within a dynamic internal and external context.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $304,960 to $400,260.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
