We are seeking a motivated System Administrator to support infrastructure operations and engineering initiatives. This role involves hands-on system administration, infrastructure support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain and optimize IT systems.
Job Description- Infrastructure & System Administration
- Design and implement system administration solutions for project and operational needs
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, hardware, storage, and services
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, etc.)
- Support storage systems (NetApp, Dell/EMC, PureStorage, etc.)
- Utilize infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
- Manage deployment tools (Foreman) and inventory systems (GLPI)
- Maintain and configure network equipment (Cisco, Mellanox, etc.)
- Operations & Support
- Perform system monitoring, log analysis, and ensure system availability
- Apply security patches and maintain compliance across systems
- Conduct backup operations and ensure data integrity
- Monitor security systems and respond to potential threats
- Manage user accounts and access controls
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and coordinate resolutions
- Maintenance & Optimization
- Apply OS upgrades, patches, and system updates
- Manage tools such as Jira, Git, LDAP, Jenkins, and VMware environments
- Perform performance tuning and system optimization
- Maintain documentation and system procedures
- Support after-hours or weekend work when required
- 7+ year of system administration experience in Linux environments
- Hands-on experience with: Linux systems (CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Shell scripting, cron jobs, log analysis
- User and group management, iptables configuration
- Exposure to VMware and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git) preferred
- Familiarity with networking equipment (Cisco preferred)
- Understanding of web technologies (SSL, reverse proxy, HTTP, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills (technical & non-technical)
Preferred Certifications:
- CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or RHCE
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to rack/stack servers and move equipment between data centers and labs
- Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
