THE ROLE 

Avocado is currently looking for a Logistics Associate to be part of the Shipping Team. This role will report to the Shipping Manager.

The Logistics Associate will be responsible for receiving/shipping packages, unpacking and inspecting the packages, maintaining accurate inventory, and inputting data into different spreadsheets and documents. This role will also follow up on orders by contacting carriers such as FedEx and UPS. This candidate will be part of a dynamic, fast-growing team maintaining control of all inventory items produced and purchased.


*Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. Depending on the role, you will be working on-site at one of our Fullerton locations. 

*Note on Pay Transparency: As of January 1, 2023, California-based roles must provide a pay scale on job postings. The pay range for this role is  $16.90- $17.44 Hourly.


WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

  • Unpacking and inspecting returned merchandise.

  • Shipping outbound packages and freight.

  • Maintaining inventory accuracy by keeping a clean and organized shipping department

  • Imputing received merchandise info on the computer system.

  • Processing and distributing merchandise.

  • Reviewing merchandise to determine disposition.

  • Updating paperwork and inputting correct information into the system.

  • Adhere to Avocado’s Safety standards.

  • Assist with other functions as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a logistics or shipping position.

  • Forklift Experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Organized with high attention to detail

  • Capable of working in a team environment, and in various departments across the facility.

  • Comprehensive utilization of warehouse systems.

  • Follow company safety culture and Cal OSHA regulations.

  • Report incidents, injuries, and hazards to managers.

  • Able to identify work hazard situations.  

  • Following the company safety culture while performing the job duties required for the position.

  • Regular and predictable attendance.

  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear.

  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with constant machinery noise 

  • Stationary position:

    • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.

  • Movements:

    • Must be able to move throughout the warehouse to access different products.

    • Must be able to frequently move material weighing up to 50 pounds.
