About Mariana Minerals

Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

The Role

Mariana is hiring a Logistics Manager to build and lead our logistics function as we scale operations across multiple sites and projects. This is both a leadership and a hands-on role. You will set the strategy, manage the team, own our relationships with 3PL partners and freight forwarders, and step in directly on complex or high-stakes logistics challenges.

You will manage a small team of logistics coordinators and analysts, and you will be the senior logistics voice in cross-functional conversations involving procurement, engineering, capital projects, and site operations. You are comfortable thinking through infrastructure and network questions, understanding when and whether it makes sense to invest in dedicated logistics infrastructure, running the analysis, and driving the decision, as well as managing the day-to-day execution of our freight operations.

What You'll Do

Strategy & Leadership

  • Build and own Mariana's logistics strategy across operating sites and capital projects, including mode selection, carrier network design, and 3PL partnership structure

  • Manage and develop a team of logistics coordinators and analysts; set priorities, review work, and build capability

  • Own senior relationships with 3PL partners, freight forwarders, and key carriers; negotiate master service agreements and performance standards

  • Evaluate logistics infrastructure opportunities and investments, including dedicated capacity arrangements, rail access, and hub development; run analyses to determine at what scale investments make economic sense

  • Serve as the logistics subject matter expert in cross-functional conversations with procurement, engineering, capital projects, and operations

Execution & Oversight

  • Oversee end-to-end freight execution for capital equipment, operating supplies, and direct materials across air, ocean, rail, and linehaul modes

  • Step in directly on complex, high-value, or time-critical shipments where senior logistics judgment is required

  • Ensure compliance with customs, Incoterms, and international shipping regulations across all freight activity

  • Monitor freight spend, identify cost reduction opportunities, and track carrier performance against agreed standards

Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Own logistics data and reporting; maintain visibility into shipment status, cost, and performance across the organization

  • Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, documentation standards, and system workflows

  • Travel to operating and project sites with regular frequency to stay connected to operational realities and site team needs

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, business, or a related field

  • 8-12 years of logistics or supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role

  • Deep experience across freight modes including air, ocean, rail, and linehaul; international logistics and customs experience required

  • Experience managing 3PL relationships and freight forwarder networks at a senior level Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team while staying hands-on in execution Comfortable with quantitative analysis; able to build and evaluate business cases for logistics investments and infrastructure decisions

  • Experience in mining, industrials, chemicals, capital projects, or a related sector is strongly preferred

  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited structure; takes ownership and figures it out

Our culture is built on four principles:

Everyone Gets Home Safe. We never put speed or cost ahead of people.

Extreme Ownership. We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.

Engineer Out Requirements, then Automate. We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale.

Share Your Legos. We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions.

Join us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply!
