Title:                Customer Support & Supply Chain Representative

Reports to:       ManagerCustomer Support and Supply Chain Management Team

Location:          Magnescale Americas Inc. Irvine office

Hours:              Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm

Classification:   non-Exempt

Travel:              0%

Salary Range:  $55,000-$60,000

 Employment is conditioned on DMG MORI US Group and Magnescale ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensing.

 Essential Job Functions:

 General

  • Maintain a high level of professional communications
  • Ensure operational activity is executed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Complete miscellaneous administrative duties as needed and perform other related responsibilities as required
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook), especially for Excel or Spreadsheet applications.

 Logistic Coordination & Inventory Management:

  • Receive, review and submit invoices and shipping documents for the importation of Magnescale products
  • Ensure the daily shipping plan is created and distributed to multiple origin points nationally
  • Packing correctly and safety for shipping products
  • Act as a liaison for day to day tactical execution between our company, carriers, and customers
  • Communicate effectively with multiple operational levels to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of Magnescale products.
  • Stock of products and warehouse management under supervisor’s management; checking and review the correctness with database with timely manner, maintain 3S (Sorting, Setting-in-Order, Shining) of warehouse area.
  • Assist service representatives, salesmen Administration manager with necessary products information 
  • Interact with team lead as necessary to ensure on time deliveries and avoid unnecessary costs
  • Utilize company databases effectively to optimize efficiency and be as self-sufficient as possible
  • Logging all transaction to company databases
  • Identify and resolve issues related to products shipments and deliveries

 Customer Support

  • Manage a multi-line telephone system.
  • Providing assistance and training to customer on the information; technical, pricing and availability. of Magnescale product lines
  • Ascertain customer information and forward them on to the appropriate are for support
  • Maintain all logs and reporting documentation as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain customer information in regards surveys and record them in the system
  • Ability to apply critical thinking in order to manage difficult customer situations
  • Other duties as assigned

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Previous experience in logistics/supply chain is preferred
  • Over 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical products knowledge or customer call representative is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Speaking and writing Japanese is not mandatory but to be counted plus.

Work Environment

Spends time in office setting or standing work at warehouse are primarily.  Exposed to possible hazards including and not limited to high noise, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. 

Physical Demands:

Frequent: Standing, sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones. 

Occasional: Lifting up to 50lbs; pushing and pulling objects. Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.

 8 hour work schedule, overtime as needed.
