About the Position

Chase Center is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Manager, AV Systems to own administration, maintenance, and capital improvement (C&D) projects for all Audio / Visual and Broadcast (AVB) assets across Chase Center & Thrive City. As a critical member of our Back of House Operations team, this role will drive long-term technical sustainability, ensure knowledge redundancy, and maximize system uptime. The ideal candidate will strike a balance between high-level technical systems administration and hands-on operational leadership, managing key vendor relationships, optimizing the division of labor between external partners and our internal represented workforce, and generating revenue by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and inventory. This position will report to the Director, AV & Broadcast. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the long-term systems administration, preventative maintenance, and capital improvement projects for all AVB infrastructure across Chase Center & Thrive City
  • Target and maintain a 99.99% uptime Service Level Agreement for critical venue AV and production systems
  • Document, standardize, and maintain a centralized repository of system configurations, drawings, and SOPs to eliminate knowledge silos and ensure business continuity
  • Manage the technical ticketing pipeline, actively working to reduce work order time-to-resolution 
  • Provide strong, cost-effective oversight for the internal represented workforce during event setups, strikes, and maintenance windows
  • Determine and execute the optimal division of workload between internal represented technicians and specialized external vendors to optimize operational budgets
  • Strategically manage scheduling and workflows to reduce represented staff overtime 
  • Design and package existing AV inventory into standardized, a-la-carte production packages for Private Events and Events team to monetize
  • Fulfill Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities for assigned events
  • Serve as technical resource to facilitate compliance requests from the Legal department 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years in AV systems administration, engineering, or integration, preferably within a high-volume, multipurpose sports and entertainment facility 
  • Advanced technical knowledge of entertainment technology networking, arena sound systems, broadcast cabling architectures, LED control systems, and integrated control systems (i.e., Crestron)
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and build positive relationships with represented labor groups (i.e., IATSE Technicians) 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace
  • Experience managing vendor contracts, capital improvement lifecycles, and cross-departmental maintenance schedules
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear updates for non-technical stakeholders, clients, and legal counsel

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules (including nights, weekends, and holidays) 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation

  • $119,000 - $126,000 Per Year + Bonus
