What We Need:

We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and highly collaborative Manager, Business Insights & Analytics to join our team. In this role, you’ll serve as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional leaders, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive both day-to-day operations and long-term business strategy.

As Manager, Business Insights & Analytics, you’ll own the development and evolution of dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytical models that surface performance trends, uncover opportunities, and inform decision-making across the organization. You’ll work closely with stakeholders in Operations, Finance, Product, Growth, and Clinical teams to define metrics, align on priorities, and ensure insights are timely, accurate, and impactful.

This role is ideal for an analytics professional with a strong technical foundation who’s ready to expand their influence—moving beyond reporting to lead analyses, mentor others, shape best practices, and help build a scalable, insight-driven analytics function.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, and continuously evolve dashboards and reporting frameworks that surface trends in utilization, provider performance, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze complex datasets across claims, authorizations, utilization management, and operational systems to identify opportunities for cost optimization, quality improvement, and workflow efficiency.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across Clinical, Operations, Finance, Growth, and Compliance to understand business objectives, define success metrics, and deliver actionable, data-driven solutions.
  • Lead and support contract and performance analytics, including utilization management metrics, service-level agreements (SLAs), and vendor and provider performance tracking.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling insights and recommendations, tailoring communication to executives, operators, and technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with the central Data team to define analytics use cases, validate data models, and ensure data quality and consistency, enabling reliable, scalable insights across the organization.
  • Proactively identify gaps in reporting, metrics, or data availability and recommend enhancements to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of analytics best practices, documentation, and standardized reporting approaches to support scalability and self-service analytics.

What You Have:

At Synapse Health we’ve intentionally built a culture of kindness, collaboration and creativity, and we consider those qualities to be table stakes for any new team member. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or a related role, with demonstrated impact on business outcomes.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with modern data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Sigma.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through ambiguity and complex datasets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate insights, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or membership-based business models.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities evolve quickly.
  • Exposure to financial modeling, utilization management analytics, or operational analytics.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 –$130,000 annually. This range reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and prevailing market conditions. Compensation discussions are encouraged throughout the hiring process.

What Sets Us Apart:

It’s no secret that most of us work to provide for ourselves and those we love, but just because we must work doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it. In fact, at Synapse Health, we insist on it! We want our team members to thrive personally and professionally, which is why our benefits include:

  • Healthy work-life balance supported by flexible paid time off (PTO)
