The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.

We're looking for an Advertising & B2B Communications Manager to join our Communications team, focused on strengthening Snap’s global narrative around small and medium-sized business advertisers and the performance advertising solutions that help them grow.

We are seeking a communications leader with experience in the digital marketing space, strong media relations skills, experience supporting executive visibility, and the ability to collaborate with senior business executives. This role will pitch and land strategic B2B stories; prepare spokespeople for interviews and public speaking; handle reactive media inquiries; and support related product, agency, partnerships, and events work.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and drive Snap’s SMB and performance advertising narrative, with a focus on increasing consideration and adoption of Snapchat among SMB marketers and broader performance advertisers.

  • Lead external communications for Snap’s SMB advertising business and related performance priorities, including messaging, media strategy, spokesperson preparation, executive visibility, and thought leadership.

  • Identify, pitch, and land stories across marketing, advertising, business, and technology media, including customer success stories, product launches, performance advertising narratives, and strategic stories that further Snap’s B2B narrative.

  • Support relevant product, agency, partnerships, and events communications where they strengthen Snap’s SMB, performance advertising, and broader revenue story.

  • Drive thought leadership opportunities and external content, including speaking engagements, LinkedIn content, media opportunities, podcasts, blog posts, case studies, and other owned and earned channels.

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Marketing, Measurement, and Creative Strategy teams to ensure messaging is consistent, differentiated, and tied to business priorities.

  • Track communications impact, including reach, frequency, and resonance of priority SMB and performance advertising messages with key audiences.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in B2B, technology, advertising, digital media, performance marketing, or related communications, with relevant relationships across marketing, advertising, technology, business, and/or trade media.

  • Strong interest in and ability to quickly understand digital advertising, performance marketing, measurement, and the needs of small and medium-sized businesses and broader performance marketers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business and product priorities into clear external narratives.

  • Strong media relations skills, including experience developing pitches, placing stories, preparing spokespeople, and handling reactive inquiries.

  • Experience supporting executive communications, thought leadership, speaking opportunities, and event-related communications.

  • Highly organized and able to manage competing deadlines from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Creative, resourceful, and hands-on team player who can develop strategy and execute the details in a fast-moving environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in communications, public relations, corporate communications, marketing communications, or a related role.

  • Experience in B2B, advertising, technology, performance marketing, SMB, or related communications.

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $157,000-$235,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $149,000-$223,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $133,000-$200,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
