Job Description Summary:

Position:    Manager of Data Analytics
Location:    345 Schwerin Street, San Francisco, CA 94134

Job Description:

Responsibilities:          Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's enterprise-wide analytics technology, ensuring optimal performance and innovation. Lead a team of analysts and engineers focused on Data Science and Business Intelligence by managing support engineer workload and ensuring comprehensive training and documentation. Oversee development and build advanced analytics capabilities using statistical modeling, machine learning, AI, and data mining techniques. Lead the definition of conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures and define roadmaps for the technical stack underpinning the data platform, ensuring continuous evolution of data capabilities. Establish processes for data acquisition, integration, storage, and accessibility while providing senior technical capabilities and hands-on expertise in data pipeline management and optimization. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for vendor-supported systems and processes, aligning technology with business objectives and identifying opportunities for data to add business value. Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage data for business performance, define and document architecture for data products, and drive innovation in analytics techniques and tools. Optimize technology costs and support services against budget, establishing threshold alerts on all technology resources to manage costs effectively. Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external vendors, ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, including knowledge transfer. Position also supervises 4 employees.

Educ./experience:       Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or related position involving data warehouse design and ETL/ELT processes. Experience must include data governance; data integration; cloud migration; Spark; Azure Databricks; and data warehousing. Position also supervises 4 employees.
