Manager, Marketing Analytics

Toast is seeking a Marketing Analytics Manager on the Marketing Analytics team to help us make smarter, faster decisions across the customer journey, with particular focus on customer lifecycle. In this role, you’ll wed new and existing customer data with upsell marketing campaigns & sales tactics to optimize how we expand customer ARPU over the lifespan of our Toast customers. This role will also include considerations for product activation and adoption (to reduce churn), as well as taking a role in shaping Toast Shop, our ecommerce store for Toast customers. While the majority of time will be spent focusing on upsell tactics, we also expect this manager to understand Toast’s new business model, and how this informs future upsell tendencies. We further expect this individual to serve as the link between Customer Marketing and Growth Sales, an increasingly important role as we aim to optimize Toast’s self-service strategy with the company’s proven growth sales motions.

A day in the life (Responsibilities):

• Serve as the lead analyst for Toast’s upsell motions
• Determine how to address new customers with upsell tactics and marketing
• Work closely with Toast Web team to develop digital experiences for Toast Customers in Toast Web (the logged in ecosystem for Toast customers)
• Measure the performance of customer marketing programs and campaigns
• Uncover trends and opportunities across the customer lifecycle using data
• Translate findings into clear recommendations for where and how to focus efforts and size the potential impact of new marketing ideas to guide prioritization
• Collaborate with Finance & Analytics teams to build dashboards and attribution frameworks that support cross-functional alignment and accuracy

What you’ll need to thrive (Requirements):

• 4+ years of experience working with marketing analytics and customer data
• Proficient with tools like Snowflake, SQL, Excel
• Mastery of analytics tools with data visualization components such as Sigma, Hex, Looker
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data to outcomes
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to influence others to take action
• Expert with AI tools, particularly those used for analysis and visualization (Claude, Hex AI)
