Join Goodwin’s Global Operations Team, and make a real impact on a global scale. At Goodwin, we work with some of the world’s most successful and innovative investors, entrepreneurs and disruptors in the life sciences, private equity, real estate, technology and financial industries, and where they converge. As part of the Global Operations Team – all business professionals at the firm – you’ll collaborate with colleagues from varied backgrounds and experiences, fostering an environment where cross-functional learning, networking, and collaboration are at the core of what we do.
Here, we’re not just supporting a law firm; we’re partnering with attorneys and clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions in high-stakes litigation and dispute resolution, world-class regulatory compliance and advisory services, and complex transactions. Our commitment to integrity, ingenuity, agility, and ambition drives us, and we’re proud to have been recognised as the “Best Business Team” by The American Lawyer.
This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.

This high-impact, fast-paced, high-visibility role partners closely with lawyers, clients, and colleagues across Finance, Client Development, and Legal Project Management. You'll take ownership of pricing strategy and execution across a range of matters and clients, helping move us beyond the billable hour, improve profitability, and deliver greater value. You'll bring rigor and commercial judgement to everything you do.

What You Will Do:

Pricing Strategy & Execution

  • Own end-to-end pricing proposals across AFAs, fixed fees, retainers, and value-based models, from scoping through to delivery.

  • Manage live pricing requests, RFPs, panel submissions, and fee negotiations independently and under tight deadlines.

  • Build commercial, client-centric pricing strategies that are profitable and sustainable.

  • Apply sound commercial judgement to balance client value with firm profitability.

  • Monitor budget-to-actual performance, analyse variances, and report on timekeeper utilisation, hours, and rates to support matter management.

Innovation & Model Development

  • Contribute to and begin to lead the development of new pricing models and frameworks, which leverage AIenabled tools and data analysis techniques to accelerate pricing insights, that move us beyond time-based billing.

  • Use emerging AI capabilities to create and refine pricing menus, benchmarking tools, and cost models aligned to service offerings.

  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve team processes, tools, and knowledge management resources.

  • Maintain and enhance pricing trackers, fee estimate logs, and enablement tools.

  • Challenge the status quo — look for better, smarter, and more innovative ways to deliver pricing support.

Data & Insight

  • Independently analyse historic matter data and performance metrics to inform pricing decisions.

  • Translate data into actionable insights and compelling narratives for attorneys and clients.

  • Contribute to the development of playbooks, toolkits, and self-serve resources for pricing enablement.

  • Support the development of mechanisms to measure adoption of recommended pricing approaches.

Collaboration & Relationship Building

  • Partner with Legal Project Management, Finance, Client Development, and Practice Group teams to support commercially smart pricing outcomes.

  • Develop and deliver training and education to attorneys on Goodwin's pricing approach and commercial best practices.

  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, key clients.

Who You Are:

  • 3–5 years of experience in pricing, commercial strategy, or finance in a law firm or professional services environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to manage pricing requests independently and to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a genuine passion for value, not just rates.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (both written and verbal).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, dynamic financial modelling, scenario analyses) and PowerPoint.

  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • A strategic thinker who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves.

  • A desire to challenge the status quo creatively, commercially, and collaboratively.

  • Experience working with data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Excel at an advanced level, or similar).

  • Self-starter, highly organized and detail-oriented go-getter able to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
