Title and Summary
Manager, SME Specialist Sales, Agribusiness
Agribusiness is a strategic vertical for Mastercard in Brazil, with significant potential to expand B2B payment flows and bring digital payment capabilities to one of the country's most important economic sectors.
This role will support the development and execution of Mastercard's go-to-market strategy for Agribusiness, helping engage key players across the value chain and ensuring that Mastercard's solutions address the unique needs of the segment.
Role• Support the development and execution of Mastercard's Agribusiness strategy in Brazil.• Contribute to the design of competitive products and value propositions tailored to the agribusiness ecosystem, addressing the needs of buyers, suppliers, financial institutions, and ecosystem enablers.• Support the analysis and optimization of value chain economics to help ensure value creation for all stakeholders.• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including cooperatives, resellers, suppliers, producers, processors/enablers, and financial institutions.• Identify barriers to acceptance and work with acquirers and other partners to support card usage and capture relevant flows.• Support the development of partnerships and alliances to expand reach and adoption of Mastercard solutions in the segment.• Monitor market trends, regulatory factors, and technological innovations relevant to agribusiness payments.• Work closely with internal teams such as Products, Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Customer Delivery to support alignment and execution.• Prepare business cases, presentations, and executive materials to support customer engagement and internal decision-making.• Track pipeline, implementation milestones, and key initiatives to ensure disciplined execution of the agribusiness agenda.
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:• Have solid experience in agribusiness, commercial payments, financial services, business development, or B2B sales, preferably with exposure to agricultural value chains.• Possess a good understanding of the agribusiness ecosystem, including its commercial, financial, operational, and seasonal dynamics.• Demonstrate ability to support go-to-market initiatives for specialized segments.• Have strong relationship management skills and the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders across the value chain.• Be analytical, organized, and results-driven, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable initiatives.• Demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously.• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.• Hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Engineering, Agronomy or a related field; had worked at least 5 year in agribusiness ecosystem, an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.• Availability to be in the office in São Paulo, 3 times per week.
