What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ASC 606, driving significant process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency in revenue accounting and developing future team members. This role will report to the Director, Technical Revenue Accounting and play a key role in supporting CoreWeave’s growth and financial reporting processes.  In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of our revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and our internal accounting policies. You will also contribute to the growth of the company through involvement in the drafting of sales contracts. In this role you will:

  • Review and approve sales contracts before execution to ensure compliance with ASC 606, identify potential accounting issues and provide guidance to the Sales team on deal structures.
  • Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, FP&A, Product Management, Business Systems and GL Accounting teams to assess complexities or custom terms in contracts and develop solutions.
  • Develop and maintain revenue policies and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent accounting treatment.
  • Thoroughly review and document executed sales contracts from a technical revenue perspective and provide clear accounting guidance to the Revenue Accounting team to ensure compliance and accurate revenue recognition.
  • Prepare position papers when necessary to clearly communicate new policies or address complex topics as they arise.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of SOX internal controls over our revenue accounting processes.
  • Assist with external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and technical accounting memos.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging accounting guidance to assess the impact on our revenue recognition policies.
  • Support automation and system improvements to enhance the Commercial Accounting team’s efficiency and accuracy.
  • Propose and see through to completion AI-powered process improvements.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to internal teams on revenue recognition matters.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • CPA required (or equivalent international certification).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience preferred.
  • Strong expertise in ASC 606, revenue recognition principles and US GAAP.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, SaaS or software industries.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex contracts.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to handle intricate technical analyses and create clear, actionable reports or position papers.

The base salary range for this role is $127,000 to $168,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
