As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Global Payments, you will serve as a key member of the Payments Leadership Team and a trusted advisor to the Co-Heads of Global Payments, helping shape the strategic, financial, and operational direction of a multi-billion-dollar global franchise.

The Global Payments CFO is responsible for the overall financial management, business governance, strategic planning, resource allocation, and performance management of the business. The role partners closely with Product, Sales, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Finance leaders to drive sustainable growth, market share expansion, capital efficiency, and shareholder returns.

Job responsibilities

  • Own the multi-year financial strategy, including revenue, expenses, profitability, capital, liquidity, balance sheet management, forecasting, and planning
  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and regular performance reviews to track progress against goals
  • Drive financial performance across products, client segments, and geographies, focusing on sustainable growth and productivity
  • Translate business strategy into measurable financial outcomes and operating objectives
  • Deliver executive-level analysis and insights that enable decisions on priorities, trade-offs, and resource allocation
  • Evaluate investment proposals and portfolio trade-offs across technology, operations, product, and client coverage
  • Support assessments of mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and new business opportunities
  • Monitor competitive positioning and performance versus peers to inform strategic choices
  • Prepare materials and insights for senior leadership governance forums and regulatory discussions
  • Establish strong governance and risk management practices across products, regions, and legal entities
  • Develop and lead a high-performing global finance and business management organization, including talent and succession planning

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15 years of leadership experience in finance, business management, strategy, treasury services, payments, banking, or related financial services roles (If posting in EMEA, remove years-of-experience per local guidance.)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting payments, transaction banking, treasury services, merchant services, or related businesses
  • Proven capability in financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for a large, complex business
  • Demonstrated experience with balance sheet, capital, and liquidity management
    Ability to operate with strong governance, risk management, and controls discipline in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with senior stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Experience leading and developing large, geographically distributed teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex topics clearly to senior audiences

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Master of Business Administration degree
  • Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation programs that improve efficiency, controls, and client experience
  • Experience governing major investment portfolios and strategic programs across technology and operations
  • Experience using automation, data, and applied artificial intelligence to improve finance processes and decision-making
  • Experience supporting external-facing executive communications and presentations
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions evaluation and integration planning
