Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain is seeking a Propulsion Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join our PSC (Propulsion South Carolina) team in North Charleston, SC. This is a variable shift position.
The successful candidate is an experienced leader who is able to support and serve our team members in balance with the company goals. They are someone who inspires the team at all levels to collaborate, problem solve and eliminate waste in the system and who is passionate about engagement and accountability. They are also someone who is fulfilled by serving and developing cross-functional team members and who is actively engaging in the site, company and community culture.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Cultivates a culture of excellence (effective communication, teaming process, high quality connections, trust & respect, collaboration, clear roles, adaptability, conflict management, accountability etc.) within multiple PSC production systems, including the 737MAX Inlet, B-52 Nacelles, and the PSC Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MR&O) services
  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers, and proactively leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, factory support and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Mentors and coaches teammates across the site in the art of winning together and personal/professional development
  • Navigates through complexity and ambiguity
  • Leads through influence and works across functions & organizations
  • Uses business acumen to know when to lead via engagement vs. requirement/policy to ensure safety/quality

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
  • 3+ years of experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience in management working with direct reports
  • 1+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
  • Willingness to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing or Operations
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment, leading teams - 1
  • 1+ years of experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data - 1
  • 3+ years of experience using Lean Manufacturing System

Shift:
This is a variable shift position. Willingness to work any shift based on business needs required.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $111,350 - $150,650
