Boeing South Carolina (BSC) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to support 787 Final Assembly operations. You will be located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This is a variable shift position.
You will lead with safety, compliance, and quality at the center of decision-making while serving and developing cross-functional teams. We are looking for a collaborative leader who drives engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement, and who will actively contribute to Boeing's site, company, and community culture.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within manufacturing
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence across multiple 787 manufacturing business units, emphasizing effective communication, teamwork, trust, respect, clear roles, adaptability, conflict management, and accountability
  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures; contribute to business and technical strategy, goals, and objectives
  • Secure resources for departmental activities, manage supplier technical performance, and lead process-improvement initiatives
  • Build and maintain partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, factory support, and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Manage, lead, mentor and coach first line leaders and teammates to promote collaboration, professional development, and a "winning together" mindset
  • Sponsor talent development and succession planning through mentoring and active investment in people
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity while making sound decisions and driving results

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing or equivalent military experience
  • 5+ years of experience advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet organizational goals
  • 3+ years in a management role working with both direct reports and business leaders
  • Willingness and ability to work any shift based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience anticipating key risks and developing mitigation plans
  • 5+ years of experience leading Lean process improvements and initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience developing and driving business strategies with leadership teams
  • Proven record of leading effective teammate engagement

Shift:
This position is variable shift, meaning you will be placed on a specific shift at time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation.

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $141,950 - $192,050
