Summary
The Marketing and Events Specialist II is an experienced marketing professional responsible for independently leading and executing marketing initiatives that support strategic business objectives. This role owns RAVE's presence at industry tradeshows and customer events, including Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), APEX EXPO, and regional aviation shows, and drives marketing communications and brand alignment while serving as a key contributor to campaign planning, content development, and process improvement efforts.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of RAVE's presence at major industry tradeshows, including Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) and APEX EXPO, as well as regional aviation shows, customer demonstrations, and hosted customer events
- Own the annual events calendar, recommending which shows and events RAVE attends, exhibits at, or sponsors based on commercial priorities and budget
- Manage the end-to-end events budget, including stand design and build, vendor selection and contract negotiation, freight and logistics, on-site services, and post-show reconciliation
- Serve as primary point of contact for event logistics, including show organizers, stand build agencies, freight forwarders, travel and accommodation, and on-site staffing, resolving complex issues and ensuring successful execution
- Coordinate demonstration hardware and software with Engineering and Product, including demo unit readiness, shipping and customs, and on-site setup and teardown
- Develop pre-show, at-show, and post-show plans covering customer meeting scheduling, invitations, press and analyst briefings, social content, and lead capture and follow-up
- Develop marketing plans and tactical recommendations aligned with company objectives
- Create and manage high-impact marketing materials, presentations, and technical product collateral, including event collateral, stand graphics, and demonstration content
- Analyze market trends and recommend marketing strategies to improve positioning and brand visibility
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing deliverables, including stand design and event experiences
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency
- Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Leadership to align event priorities, messaging
- Support mentoring or onboarding of junior marketing team members as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Events Management, or equivalent experience in a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role, including 3+ years leading B2B tradeshows or corporate events
- Experience managing large-format exhibition stands at international tradeshows; aviation, aerospace, or IFEC industry event experience strongly preferred
- Proven vendor and agency management experience, including stand builders, freight and logistics providers, and show organizers
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects and competing priorities
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, budgeting, and project management skills
- Experience developing technical marketing content preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, and marketing, CRM, and event management tools
- Experience with photo and video editing software preferred
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $74,500 - 84,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
