The Marketing Coordinator will manage social media, coordinate events, oversee swag, and assist with educational programs, ensuring organizational efficiency.
Want to use your skills to make an impact? AI is the new electricity. Founded and led by AI visionary Andrew Ng, DeepLearning.AI is on a mission to empower everyone to build with AI. AI builders are needed across the world to transform industries, and we’re creating the products and community to enable them.
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Mountain View. This is a foundational, execution-focused role for a high-potential operator who thrives on variety. You will be the 'glue' that helps our marketing initiatives come to life—from managing our social media presence to executing world-class events and ensuring our community has the best swag in the industry.
As a startup, we wear many hats; you are someone who understands that no task is too small and is excited to use AI tools to automate the routine so you can focus on creativity and impact.
Location: This is a full-time, in-office position (5 days a week) based at our Mountain View, CA office.
Here's what you'll do
- Social Media Execution: Schedule and publish content across our social channels (X, LinkedIn, etc.). Using AI assistance, you’ll help draft engaging responses, monitor community mentions, and keep our content calendar organized.
- Event Logistics and Speaking Engagements: Provide end-to-end support for our local events. This includes managing RSVP lists, coordinating with vendors (catering, venues), and being the hands-on lead for events hosted at our Mountain View office. In addition, manage and coordinate appropriate speaking engagements for the team.
- Swag Coordination: Own our "swag" lifecycle. You’ll research high-quality items, manage inventory, coordinate shipments for partners and events, and brainstorm creative new ways to delight our community.
- Student Aid and Education Management: Engage with student university groups to help promote DeepLearning.AI and manage a database of qualified student applications for DeepLearning.AI’s financial aid program.
- Developer Partner Program Support: Manage various partner program requirements such as coupon code creation and expiry, swag, communications, and event support.
- Content Support: Assist the broader marketing team with administrative tasks, such as updating website copy, uploading videos, or organizing our digital asset library.
- AI-Powered Workflows: Actively look for ways to use Generative AI to speed up your work—whether it’s using AI to generate image assets, summarize event feedback, or automate repetitive spreadsheets.
Here are the skills you should have
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, social media, or event coordination. You are a disciplined operator who enjoys the logistics of bringing creative projects to the finish line.
- Exceptional Organizational Skills: You can manage multiple moving parts without breaking a sweat. You live in your calendar and checklists.
- AI Fluency: You are an AI enthusiast. You already use tools like ChatGPT or Claude to draft emails or brainstorm ideas, and you’re eager to learn how to use AI to build more efficient workflows.
- Excellent Communication: Strong written and spoken English. You can write a snappy tweet or a professional email to a vendor with equal ease.
- Proactive Ownership: You don’t wait to be told what to do. If you see a problem (like a low inventory of t-shirts), you solve it.
- On-site Reliability: Ability to work from our Mountain View office daily and assist with event setup (e.g., arranging signage or organizing event materials).
Bonus if you have
- Experience with marketing tools like Canva, Buffer, or Hubspot.
- A portfolio of social media content you’ve managed (personal or professional).
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or tech environment.
Our Defining Values
- We care deeply about our learners: We let our learner's needs guide our actions and decisions and put our mission ahead of ourselves.
- We are great at what we do: We strive for excellence in all dimensions, especially in the quality of the content we create and people we hire.
- We default to action: We are comfortable acting with limited information and taking ownership of our decisions.
- We ask why: We ask the hard questions, and are open to being in the wrong. We advocate for the best ideas, not our ideas.
- We are honest and authentic: We are transparent as an organization, over-communicate to build trust and share our failures just as we do our successes.
- We do this together: We help each other grow and succeed and have fun at work, even in a remote environment.
At DeepLearning.AI, we are committed to fostering a workplace of mutual respect and equal opportunity. We hire based on qualifications, merit, and business needs, without discrimination on any characteristic - whether protected by applicable laws or not. Our goal is to attract, recruit, develop, and retain the best talent from a diverse candidate pool.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
