Hourly Compensation: $32.00-$38.00 per hour

Ritter Center is currently recruiting a Marketing Coordinator for our Development Team. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Chief Development Officer, based in San Rafael, CA; the role is a hybrid role.

Position Description: The Marketing Coordinator provides external and internal marketing, PR, and communications efforts to support Ritter Center’s mission.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications Strategy and Revenue Enhancement:

  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing and communications strategies that advance organizational goals, strengthen brand awareness, and support revenue growth.
  • Partner with the Development team to promote fundraising campaigns, donor engagement initiatives, the Capital Campaign, and special events.
  • Collaborate across departments to market programs, services, grants, and client events, increasing awareness, participation, billable client visits, and media opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent brand identity across all communications and marketing materials, including digital assets, print collateral, event signage, apparel, and promotional materials.
  • Manage integrated marketing channels, including email, website, social media, digital advertising, and print communications while implementing strategies to increase audience engagement.
  • Develop and manage engaging content for the organization's website and social media platforms, maintaining a consistent publishing schedule and responding appropriately to audience engagement.
  • Monitor campaign performance and analyze marketing data using Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Constant Contact, and other tools to measure KPIs and inform future strategy.
  • Assist in developing and managing the Development & Marketing budget in collaboration with the Development team.
  • Maintain the organization's communications and marketing calendar, ensuring alignment of campaigns, events, and development activities across departments and with key stakeholders.

Content & Digital Asset Management

  • Lead the planning, content development, design coordination, and distribution of the organization's annual report, newsletters, direct mail campaigns, and other key publications, ensuring timely delivery, brand consistency, and audience engagement.
  • Secure and coordinate digital advertising placements while overseeing the creation of advertising and promotional materials.
  • Manage website content updates and coordinate with vendors and freelancers to develop digital assets, maintaining working knowledge of the organization's CMS and website functionality.
  • Serve as the primary content creator at organizational events by capturing photography, video, testimonials, and other multimedia assets.
  • Write, edit, and distribute compelling content for email and SMS campaigns, press materials, website content, social media, and other organizational communications.

Public & Community Relations

  • Serve as the organization's primary point of contact for media and press inquiries, cultivating and maintaining relationships with media outlets and community partners.
  • Draft, obtain approvals for, and distribute press releases and other media materials to increase organizational visibility and earned media coverage.

Required Qualifications:

  • Per OSHA requirements employment at Ritter Center requires compliance with being able to produce a negative TB test prior to the start of employment, as well as being vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless applying for an exemption) per the August 5th, 2021, State Public Order for Healthcare Facilities, providers and employees.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ coordinating marketing/communications/PR functions in a similar role
  • Experience promoting programs that provide services for people living in poverty.
  • Ability to discern data and draw conclusions to build strategies and drive decision-making.
  • Authentic, articulate communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while balancing multiple deadlines/priorities.
  • Capable in graphic design and editing tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Monday.com, Google Workspace, Constant Contact, WordPress/WP Engine, DonorPerfect, and social media platforms.
  • Must possess a valid California Class C driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
