The Marketing Events Manager sits at the intersection of these teams, creating the operating cadence, expertise, and infrastructure that enable a coherent company-wide events program. You will work closely with business-area marketing liaisons, the Executive Office, Sales, and external partners to translate individual business strategies into high-impact events and thought-leadership opportunities.

We are looking for a Marketing Events Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for leading our global events and thought leadership programs. This role is central to building brand presence, generating qualified leads, engaging key audiences, and creating memorable experiences in the rapidly evolving AI industry. The Marketing Events Manager will develop and execute an integrated event strategy aligned with business priorities, oversee approximately 40 events annually—including virtual events—and partner closely with business-area marketing leaders, Sales, executive leadership, and external agencies. Success in this role will include delivering a scalable, measurable events program; maximizing event-driven pipeline and brand impact; strengthening SandboxAQ’s thought leadership presence through external speaking opportunities; and establishing efficient processes, playbooks, and operational infrastructure to support the company’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the marketing events strategy in partnership with business-area marketing leaders and executive stakeholders, ensuring event investments align with company priorities, audience needs, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Lead end-to-end execution of approximately 40 events annually, including sponsorships, conferences, hosted events, partner activities, virtual events, and executive engagements. Manage venues, vendors, F&B, AV, trade show requirements, shipping, swag, COIs, and onsite logistics.

  • Drive event performance and lead generation, establishing goals and measurement frameworks and using Salesforce/Marketo to track attendance quality, MQL/SQL conversion, pipeline influence, ROI, and other key KPIs. Build event-specific reporting and dashboards and communicate results and recommendations to leadership.

  • Own the event program budget and operations, including event-level cost tracking, financial reporting, forecasting, and budget recommendations. Maintain the master event calendar, Jira workflows, marketing asset warehouse, and other program infrastructure.

  • Manage event materials and logistics infrastructure, including marketing swag development, ordering, fulfillment, and inventory, as well as event and ad hoc marketing shipping requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing events, with a proven track record of managing high-volume event programs and delivering measurable business results.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Must be able to travel up to 40% for onsite event execution.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle complex projects, tight deadlines, and competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated business-forward mindset, able to develop a strategy and communicate to executive-level leadership.

Highly Desired Skills & Experience
  • Proven ability to create, manage, and execute global events strategy in multiple industries.

  • Confident partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to align event strategy with business outcomes.

  • Creative, resourceful, and comfortable testing bold new approaches that differentiate the brand and create memorable experiences.

  • Analytical mindset, able to measure impact in Salesforce/Marketo and optimize programs based on data.

  • Energized by the opportunity to make a global impact in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
