Crunchyroll is looking for a Marketing Manager to support business growth across the UCANZ region. In this newly created role you'll report to the Director of Marketing, UCANZ, and partner closely with global line-of-business teams. You’ll play a key role in driving marketing campaigns for SVOD, title launches, brand initiatives, and experiential activations, ensuring Crunchyroll reaches fans in ways that are creative, culturally relevant, and measurable.
As the regional marketing lead for the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, you’ll combine a creative-first mindset with media expertise to plan, activate, and execute campaigns across digital, non-digital, and experiential channels. You’ll work closely with regional social media, global growth marketing, brand teams, media partners, and agencies to deliver campaigns that engage fans, grow subscriptions, and increase brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities- Execute marketing strategies for multicultural and college audiences across digital channels, events, and other creative GTM methods to drive engagement, subscriptions, and brand awareness
- Assist with global and regional brand campaigns and events, including college marketing programs, multicultural initiatives, theatrical releases, streaming events, partnerships, and experiential activations
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication, including:
- Creating content briefs for internal teams or external agencies
- Overseeing program execution and asset delivery
- Coordinating with localization teams for translations
- Partnering with Sony/SPE and Theatrical Marketing teams for campaign assets
- Collaborate closely with social media, global growth marketing, brand teams, media partners, and agencies to ensure campaigns are locally relevant and impactful
- Track and analyze campaign performance and KPIs to drive growth of Crunchyroll’s digital footprint in UCANZ, including traffic, search, fan engagement, and subscriptions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with tech/product teams, internal marketing, global teams, Sony/SPE, and external partners; continuously improve marketing processes and best practices through experimentation and professional development
- Interface with tech/product teams on multi-language streaming needs (landing pages, show pages, SVOD guides, blogs)
- Contribute to Crunchyroll’s owned digital footprint, fan/customer sentiment, and engagement
- Foster a collaborative, cross-functional culture across the organization
- 5+ years of marketing campaign experience, including concept, planning, execution, integration, and reporting
- Direct-to-consumer, entertainment, or streaming platform marketing experience required
- Proven expertise in marketing campaign management and technologies, tailoring activations to specific audiences, and achieving marketing/business goals
- Experience developing business cases and ROI analyses to secure additional marketing investment
- Track record of leading projects and small teams from concept through distribution and analysis; data-driven and optimization-focused
- Deep knowledge of the anime landscape, Crunchyroll ecosystem, and broader pop, gaming, and college culture; multicultural awareness is a major plus
- Flexible, collaborative, and comfortable working in cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Creative Asset Management systems, Google Workspace, Word, Excel (advanced macros), and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
