Analyze internal and external data to generate insights, narratives, benchmarks, and original research for marketing content, campaigns, sales enablement, and executive communications. Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.

The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.

About the Role
You are the analytical backbone of our marketing content engine, translating data into the insights, narratives, and proof points behind campaign creative, thought leadership, sales enablement, and executive storytelling. You partner with content, creative, brand, growth, and product marketing teams so every piece of content is informed by evidence.

What You’ll Do
  • Generate Insights: Pull, clean, and analyze data from internal and external sources to surface insights that shape marketing content.
  • Tell Data Stories: Turn complex findings into clear narratives, charts, and talking points the content team can use in blog posts, reports, social posts, sales decks, and PR pitches.
  • Find Proprietary Stories: Identify trends, benchmarks, and proprietary data stories that position Samba as a category authority.
  • Power the Content Engine: Serve as the dedicated data partner to content marketing, supplying insight-driven topic ideas, supporting statistics, and original research angles, and managing the content insights backlog.
  • Lead Original Research: Lead original research, from designing surveys and structuring datasets to interpreting results and shaping the story, and fact-check data used in marketing content.
  • Partner Across Teams: Collaborate with measurement science, product, sales, customer success, and data engineering to access the right data, and with growth and demand generation on segmentation, testing, and attribution.
  • Build Evidence Culture: Educate marketing stakeholders on what the data says, building a culture of evidence-based decisions, and manage external research partners, data vendors, and analytics tools.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years in marketing analytics, marketing science, insights, business intelligence, or a related discipline, ideally supporting a content, brand, or demand generation team.
  • Strong SQL and fluency with at least one analytics or business intelligence (BI) tool, such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Mode, or Hex; power-user spreadsheet skills; Python or R a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with the modern marketing data stack: customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce and HubSpot, marketing automation such as Marketo, web analytics such as GA4, and customer data platforms.
  • A track record of turning data into narratives, with reports, decks, or campaigns where your insights drove the story, and strong written and visual communication skills.
  • Project management instincts, intellectual curiosity, healthy skepticism of your own numbers, and a bias toward action: you juggle stakeholders, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship on deadline.
  • Nice to have: original research or survey experience, familiarity with marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, or incrementality testing, a business-to-business software-as-a-service (B2B SaaS), media, or consumer tech background, and published data-driven content.
