Summary

As a Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for achieving planning deliverables across manufacturing cells related to supply and demand planning, order management, data validation and capacity analysis for manufacturing. Accountable for strategic and tactical execution of assigned tasks to support a consistent plan that achieves sustained revenue growth through KPIs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor/maintain Master Production Schedules, delays to schedule, working with planner to identify countermeasures and root cause reasons for misses.
  • Collaborates with Purchasing, Production, Receiving, Quality, and Engineering to review execution of production schedules, build plans, backorder status, and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling.
  • Establish and lead monthly sales and operations (S&OP) planning process, as well as establish policies around Service Level Strategies with the Business, gaining commercial and financial alignment.
  • Support updates in ERP and Operations Plans while ensuring the execution of build plans in support of customer orders driving monthly/quarterly, yearly revenue plans. 
  • Implement capability to provide schedules on open proposals.  Work with the Proposal Team to ensure an effective lead-time and commitment from functional teams. Create load profiles for new programs, review and analyze lead time data and critical paths prior to scheduling.
  • Develop data monitoring capability through exception reporting to validate BOM’s, engineering masters, part number attributes and lead times for accuracy.
  • Provide leadership on production scheduling conflict resolution and resource planning.
  • Lead teams on continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain tools in Excel to manage manufacturing tracker, key metrics, review variances, exception reporting to understand drivers and impact of changes. Utilize tools to assess risk.

Flexible: Comfortable working in ambiguous situations with limited guidance from Manager. Possesses a positive questioning attitude, able and willing to dive into the root cause.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of experience in operations/supply chain
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Advanced Excel analytics experience required. Comfortable with creating complex macros and pivots.
  • ERP/MRP systems experience required.
  • Report writer experience required.
    Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • APICS certification in CPIM preferred.
