- Exposure to more than one kind of product or component.

- A portfolio with written technical commentary on several projects, shared ahead of the first manager conversation.

- A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a similar field, or comparable practical experience.

- Sound mechanical instincts, with strong troubleshooting and assembly skills.

- Familiarity with rapid prototyping methods and a practical drive to reach workable solutions quickly.

- A hands-on attitude and willingness to work across disciplines and take on a broad scope.

Bonus points

- Experience administering product lifecycle or document control tools.

- Background in mechatronics and electronics design.

- Knowledge of motion systems and sensing hardware.

- Familiarity with robotic arms.

- Time spent on robotics in a lab or production setting.

- Experience writing software for robotic systems.
