The Manager, RCM Strategy & Analytics is responsible for delivering executive-level analytics, dashboards, and insights to accelerate the strategy and execution of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) initiatives. This role partners closely with the AVP, RCM Strategy & Analytics and cross-functional leaders to interpret complex data, uncover trends, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations. The Manager will leverage business intelligence tools (Tableau), AI tools (Microsoft Copilot preferred), and strong data integration skills to create repeatable reporting and decision support that improves performance and execution discipline.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, business intelligence, or performance reporting; healthcare/diagnostics experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization and BI tools (Tableau preferred; Power BI acceptable).
  • Proficiency in data querying and preparation (SQL strongly preferred; Excel required).

Required (per role scope)

  • Familiarity with CPT claim-level data is required (procedure/CPT-level analysis, claim outcomes, and payer response patterns).

Preferred (per role scope)

  • Molecular diagnostic claim experience preferred (genetic testing reimbursement context, payer policy variability, lab/diagnostics billing nuances).

Key Responsibilities / Duties and Responsibilities

Executive Reporting & Strategic Insights

  • Develop recurring executive-level summaries that explain performance drivers, risks, and the actions needed to support the strategy and execution of RCM initiatives.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leaders (what happened, why, and what to do next).

Reporting & Visualization (Tableau)

  • Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and recurring reports that support KPIs, operational metrics, and executive reporting needs.
  • Implement reporting best practices and conduct dashboard efficiency reviews to maintain performance and reliability.

Data Integration & Analytics Enablement (Disparate Systems)

  • Pull together and reconcile data from disparate systems and sources to create consistent, trusted reporting outputs.
  • Standardize definitions and logic for core metrics to improve reporting consistency and reduce operational risk.

CPT / Claims Analytics (Required)

  • Analyze CPT-level claim datasets to identify trends, payer behavior patterns, and operational root causes that impact reimbursement performance and execution.
  • Support analytics tied to CPT-level mapping and related governance needs in collaboration with RCM, Finance, and cross-functional stakeholders.

AI-Enabled Productivity (Microsoft Copilot Preferred)

  • Use Microsoft Copilot (preferred) and approved AI tools to accelerate drafting of executive summaries, standardize recurring reporting, and improve clarity and consistency, while validating the accuracy of all outputs.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Document processes, data sources, and dashboard functionality to enable continuity, reduce single points of failure, and support stakeholder adoption.

Compliance & Conduct

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct as outlined in the Baylor Genetics Compliance Program.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven success translating complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Strong data visualization skills, with the ability to build intuitive dashboards that simplify complex information.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to identify trends and inconsistencies in data.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs on deadline.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Frequently required to sit, stand, utilize hand and finger dexterity, talk or hear, and use visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard.
