Lead and scale the mid-market sales team at Profound, focusing on driving revenue growth through a consultative approach, overseeing the full sales cycle, and mentoring Account Executives.
The summary above was generated by AI

Profound is the marketing platform for the age of AI search. The way brands reach people is being rewritten — AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode are now the answer layer between companies and their customers. We built the platform marketers use to understand, measure, and win in that world: the analytics, intelligence, and agent automation that turn AI search from a threat into a competitive advantage.

We went from 0 to a $1B valuation in 18 months. Revenue grew 100x last year. Our customers include 15% of the Fortune 500 like Walmart, Wayfair and U.S. Bank, and innovators like Ramp, MongoDB, and Figma. We are backed by Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, LSVP, and Khosla Ventures — and we are moving fast enough that the people joining now are building the playbook everyone who comes after them will run.

As a Mid-Market Sales Manager, you will lead and scale our mid-market sales team, driving revenue growth with a consultative, customer-first approach. You will build the entire mid-market team from 0 to 1 by hiring and coaching all of our mid-market Account Executives, oversee the full sales cycle, and refine strategies to win high-impact deals in a fast-evolving AI landscape.

What you’ll do
  • Hire, lead, and mentor a team of mid-market Account Executives, fostering a culture of performance and growth

  • Own and guide the full sales cycle across the team, from targeted prospecting to negotiating and closing deals

  • Develop and refine strategic outreach and pipeline management tactics tailored to mid-market customers

  • Build and nurture relationships with prospects and customers, ensuring long-term engagement and expansion

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, and Success, to align strategies and deliver value

  • Establish playbooks, performance metrics, and best practices to ensure consistent quota attainment and team success

Who you are
  • A proven sales leader with SaaS experience, adept at managing teams that close complex, consultative deals

  • Skilled at coaching Account Executives to balance high-velocity outreach with relationship-driven sales

  • Resilient, goal-oriented, and experienced in driving predictable revenue while surpassing targets

  • Strategic and flexible, with the ability to tailor approaches to the unique needs of mid-market customers

  • Passionate about AI and its impact on how people search, discover, and build

Location

This is an on-site role based in our Union Square, NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $160,000 to $190,000 before commission. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process. Our recruiting team will share more details about the full compensation package and benefits as you move through hiring.
