What You’ll Do

As the Middle School Services Director at the Willie Mays Clubhouse, you will lead, develop, and enhance core programming for 6th through 8th graders. Working with a team of youth development professionals, you will drive attendance, build social-emotional learning, foster community connections, and support members through academic, personal, and career milestones.

  • Develop & Manage Programs — Create engaging middle school programming focused on social-emotional learning, life skills, diversity, inclusion, and strategic organizational goals.
  • Mentor Youth & Drive Engagement — Mentor members directly to set and achieve goals for personal and academic growth, driving participation in citywide activities and Club events.
  • Track Data & Optimize Experience — Manage, interpret, and analyze middle school attendance and program participation data to recommend improvements to Club leadership.
  • Build School & Community Connections — Establish relationships with school administrators and teachers, attend IEP meetings as needed, and support smooth grade-level transitions.
  • Support Club-Wide Operations — Assist with broader Clubhouse efforts, including safe walks, snack distribution, and special events as planned or needed.
  • Reporting & Compliance — Prepare and submit accurate program reports to meet organizational standards and program requirements.
What You BringRequired
  • Experience in curriculum development, policy implementation for student achievement, and data analysis for decision-making
  • Proven organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills across diverse stakeholders
  • Commitment to high-quality youth development with an innovative approach
Preferred
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university or related background in Early Childhood Development or Education
  • Current Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
  • Valid CA Class C Driver's License and comfort driving in San Francisco to transport youth
  • Fluent or bilingual in Spanish or Arabic
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours consecutively.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $27.00–$29.00 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on a range of factors, including skill set, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs. Candidates may be hired at the entry, mid, or senior level of the range depending on qualifications and position requirements.

Pre-Employment Requirements

As part of the hiring process, BGCSF requires candidates to complete LiveScan fingerprinting, a background check, and a tuberculosis (TB) evaluation or test.
