Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking a Mission Planning SME in Niceville, FL or Las Vegas, NV. This position provides a vital link between the warfighter and software development and test team to ensure the warfighter's requirements and recommendations are included in the development cycle. This role also evaluates customer and/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Additionally, this person will perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

Position Responsibilities:
- Utilize aircrew experience to help Systems Engineers build software that meets the warfighters needs in an efficient, intuitive format
- Performs analyses on software environment to determine functionality and usability for the warfighter
- Acts as intermediary between Systems Engineers and active duty warfighters to determine issues and subsequent suitability for intended correction/fixes
- Integrates with Government test to ensure issues discovered are addressed and a path forward is obtained to prevent delays in the schedule
- Perform analysis to optimize total system and/or system architecture to solve complex mission planning problems
- Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to help plan, design, develop and verify system solutions.
- Define and coordinate system performance requirements and integrate technical parameters
- Define high level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation
- Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, product security (cyber security) and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
- Perform risk assessments and generate mitigation plans for various programs with regard to compliance with system requirements and customer capabilities
- Develop verification and validation methods, processes, logic, and plans in support of program milestones.
- Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in mission planning
- 5+ years of aircrew experience in the F-15E/EX platform
- Are you skilled in leading strategic technical briefings and effectively communicating specialized mission planning information to domestic (USAF/USN) and foreign military customers?
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Joint Mission Planning System software
- Experience with application/daily use of JMPS by aircrew to accomplish needed planning to accomplish the mission Experienced background that allows them to understand modernization of the F-15, the use of new weapons/hardware, and application thereof
