Job Description

Embed M&S and AI capabilities into day-to-day trial design and development workflows across Data & Statistical Sciences (DSS), to accelerate and support development decision-making. This role sits within the Data and AI Acceleration (DAIA) team and supports the broader DSS organization. Work alongside statisticians and data scientists within each Therapeutic Area, deeply understanding current trial design workflows to identify opportunities where M&S and AI can eliminate friction, enable smarter decision-making, and unlock new opportunities by leveraging new tools and data modalities. This role will drive the embedment of M&S and AI capabilities across the DSS organization.

Responsibilities

  • Map current workflows and identify M&S and AI automation and augmentation opportunities
  • Oversee embedment and adoption of M&S and AI tools across the Therapeutic Areas
  • Work closely with solution developers to translate business problems into actionable requirements and ensure delivered tools meet end-user needs
  • Reimagine and define fit-for-purpose ways of working, processes, and templates in collaboration with cross-functional partners that evolve with M&S and AI adoption
  • Train, onboard, and enable end-users on new M&S and AI tools to drive adoption and effective use
  • Monitor adoption metrics and identify barriers; iterate on processes to reduce friction and feed insights back to inform prioritization of new use cases

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with 8–10 years of experience or PhD with 5–8 years of experience in Statistics, Data Sciences, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Strong experience working in clinical trial design as a statistician or data scientist
  • Applied understanding of how M&S and AI can augment clinical trial workflows, with an eye for high-impact use cases
  • Ability to bridge business and technical teams — translating end-user needs into developer-ready requirements
  • Experience in change management or process improvement within drug development
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to design pragmatic, fit-for-purpose governance frameworks
