About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

What you will accomplish:  Write software automation testing in Java, Junit, Selenium and other internal Java-based automation frameworks for Frontend, SOA/Services and messaging components. Develop sophisticated, stable, internal Java automation frameworks to increase efficiency, re-usability and flexibility. Build performance efficient, highly scalable, configurable, and available software applications and systems. Develop and enhance eBay’s continuous software integration framework, merging build, compile, test, and validate processes with scheduling, automated notifications and graduated build deployments. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications. Develop object-oriented software and design, code, and test complex software features. Influence software development and architecture counterparts to design for testability. Develop software code and lead code review sessions. Collaborate with engineers, team leads, and managers to help develop innovative software testing solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to testing goals and principles. Telecommuting permitted – work can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

1.                  SOAP (5 years).

3.                  REST (5 years).

4.                  Java (5 years).

5.                  Selenium (5 years).

6.                  Algorithms and data structures (4 years).

7.                  PL/SQL (4 years).

8.                  Jenkins (1 year).

9.                  TestNG framework (1 year).

10.              Unix/Linux (1 year).

Salary: $226,158.00-262,900.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
