What you'll do here:
The Multimedia Designer is responsible for developing compelling, engaging, and educational visual content for our online courses. They convert manuscripts into an online-friendly format, ensuring that courses consistently follow our style guidelines, are compatible across browsers and mobile devices, accessible, and tailored to our target audience. This role continuously adapts to emerging trends in online education and develops its skills to stay competitive.
Skills you will need here:Visual Design
- Synthesize complex information into simple, user-friendly visuals that support learning.
- Design and create multimedia elements, including illustrations, interactive elements and games
- Develop video from concept to full completion, using traditional methods and AI services. Craft video scripts and storyboards.
- Ensure multimedia components created are reusable, accessible, and compatible across platforms and devices.
- Generate audio using AI text-to-speech services
- Own technical aspects of content design, programming, and delivery.
- Convert course manuscripts into HTML/CSS format aligned with ed2go’s high-quality standards.
- Apply HTML/CSS formatting to classroom content (e.g. narrative lesson content, assignments, exams).
- Use basic JavaScript for functionality and interactivity.
- Analyze, design, and implement all multimedia design elements and external assets into our proprietary learning management system.
- Work closely with Learning Designers and Subject Matter Experts to develop project design plans.
- Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights and rationale behind design decisions.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
- Build partnerships with development teams to meet shared objectives.
- Oversee and train content development vendors on internal processes, design guidelines, and tools.

- Take initiative on special projects, often exploring new territory and creating innovative solutions.
- Use data, research, and insights to improve processes, tools, and customer outcomes.
- Deliver projects reliably on time and within budget without compromising quality.
- Identify and communicate dependencies early in the project lifecycle.
- Analyze end-user feedback to improve course design.
- Assess student needs and recommend enhancements to improve learner experience.
- Stay current with emerging trends in online education and AI.
- Embrace AI technologies and find opportunities to leverage for product and process improvement

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
