Job Description

As a NAND Array Reliability R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for array reliability characterization, modeling, and analysis to ensure holistic solutions for the next generation 3D NAND technologies and products, and meeting all quality and reliability requirements and specs. This position is for Sr. Reliability R&D Engineer depending on the qualifications and experience.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and perform NAND memory cell / array reliability characterization experiments and data analysis.
  • Develop empirical and physics-based predictive reliability modeling methods and tools for reliability risk assessments.
  • Develop new acceleration techniques, reliability test flows and methods, and analytical tools.
  • Apply model and data driven trade-off analysis to optimize reliability mechanisms and generate array reliability resolution strategy roadmaps in collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Establish array reliability requirements and goals on component level and feedback them for wafer-level reliability goals. 
  • Leverage array reliability characterization and analysis to develop system-level SSD algorithms and policies.
  • Assure successful qualifications of NAND technologies / products.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Microelectronics or a related field.
  • Good understanding of NAND cell and array operations, array reliability physical mechanisms and characterization.
  • Knowledge and good understanding of semiconductor device physics, solid-state physics and reliability physics.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process flows.
  • Good statistical analysis skills.
  • Knowledge and abilities of programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills

Additional Information

This position is also eligible to participate in Solidigm's restricted stock unit (RSU), restricted cash unit (RCU), and cash bonus programs. In addition, Solidigm offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, supplemental life and AD&D insurance; short- and long-term disability; healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts, and a company match on eligible 401(k) plan contributions.

The compensation range for this role is $105,440- $164,800. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
