SUMMARY

The Account Manager, Builder Sales for Westlake Roofing and Stone Solutions is responsible for conversion and retention of national and regional builder roofing and stone sales in the eastern region of the US. 

This position is responsible for the following product lines:  Newpoint Concrete Roof Tile in and Westlake’s manufactured stone veneer product lines.  Preferred residence location is the Eastern US.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage key relationships with national and regional builders at their regional and divisional level decision makers.
  • Maintain and improve builder relationships in cooperation with multiple local sales teams within the Westlake family
  • Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping builders up to date on current contracts/rebates
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
  • Work with local Territory Managers and customers to sell premium products on value vs. pricing
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships 
  • Evaluate and make necessary changes to contracts or bidding strategies to benefit/expand builder relationships
  • Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business
  • Ability to problem solve and effectively communicate with customers
  • Detailed communication on direction of efforts and pipeline to internal management
  • Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with the sales team regularly
  • Cross sell multiple product lines, Stone and Roofing

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in building products
  • Ability to negotiate pricing with builders in multiple markets
  • Project management skills
  • Analytical, financial and data driven
  • MS Office suite proficient
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, rotational shift work, working outdoors, warehouses that are not climate controlled, continually working in the elements, etc.  Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
