The Role
As a Netsuite Business Systems Engineer, you will play a strategic role in driving operational excellence, leading teams, and delivering results that align with Veev’s mission. You will be responsible for customization and optimization of Veev’s NetSuite environment across multiple process areas. This role requires operational excellence and continuous improvement across the finance and manufacturing technology stack delivering impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and deploy high-quality NetSuite customizations utilizing SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.0.
- Develop end-to-end solutions for complex business processes, including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Design to Build and advanced revenue accounting.
- Integrate NetSuite with third-party platforms like HubSpot, Ignition MES, and BuildPro using REST APIs.
- Leverage native AI tools within the NetSuite Integration Platform to automate workflow orchestration and documentation.
- Conduct regular system audits to eliminate bottlenecks, optimize script performance, and enforce strict governance
- Own the scalability and architectural integrity of all end-to-end technical solutions.
- Ensure full alignment of all customizations with complex multi-book, multi-currency, and global business requirements.
- Guarantee the stability and performance of the NetSuite ecosystem during deployments and upgrades.
- Partner with stakeholders across accounting, finance, procurement, and manufacturing to design high-performance workflows.
- Assist cross-functional teams by providing technical guidance during user acceptance testing (UAT) and platform rollouts.
- Support business units in optimizing inventory management, supply chain operations, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Keep business leaders updated on system health, performance metrics, and optimization outcomes.
- Communicate automation opportunities and platform capabilities proactively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation regarding system updates, custom scripts, and integration changes for the broader team..
Must-Have Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of dedicated NetSuite development and architecture.
- Extensive experience working with SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.0, adhering to scripting standards.
- Proficiency in integrating NetSuite with third-party tools using Restlet, REST web services, and Suitelet.
- Expertise in designing and implementing workflows
- Experience using NetSuite JavaScript API and Suite Cloud platforms - Suite Script, Suite Commerce, Suite Talk, and Suite Flow
- Platform Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of NetSuite ERP, and OneWorld environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Competencies
These skills, competencies, and qualifications would set you, as a candidate, apart but are not required for the role.
- NetSuite Certified Application Developer is a plus.
- Experience with Hubspot CRM integration is a plus
Compensation
Offers are based on a combination of experience, skills, and location. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
