MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Network Engineer Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the customer. You will play a crucial role in designing, integrating, and maintaining secure and reliable connectivity across a multi-cloud enterprise environment, enabling the customer to advance their digital modernization goals.

● Lead the planning, engineering, and integration of hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures to ensure secure, resilient, and scalable connectivity supporting the mission.

● Designs and oversees secure, scalable hybrid cloud and application network architectures, integrating legacy systems with modern cloud and software platforms, while ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards

● Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and IT operations, to define network requirements, support CI/CD pipelines, and ensure seamless integration of cloud services.

● Drive improvements to network performance, automation, monitoring, and security by evaluating emerging technologies, resolving complex technical challenges, and implementing best‑in‑class solutions.

● Utilize advanced networking tools, cloud networking technologies, automation frameworks, and enterprise monitoring solutions to support operations and modernization efforts.

● Deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation frameworks to streamline network deployment, reduce manual intervention, and optimize cloud resource utilization.

● Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to maintain data integrity and availability

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer Senior must have:

● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

● Experience:5+years of related experience

● Technical skills: Enterprise LAN/WAN, cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP/Oracle), VPN technologies, firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, network monitoring tools, hybrid cloud connectivity, automation/scripting, SDN, VPCs, DNS, SSL, IPAM, and cloud security best practices

● Preferred Certifications : Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Cloud+. Specific cloud platform network engineer certifications   (Azure/AWS/Google/Orace)

● Location: Remote with some travel.

● Timeline: This is a contingent posting expected to start after 1 August, 2026.

The likely salary range for this position is $96,569 - $130,651. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees. To ensure our employees are able to protect their income, other offerings such as short and long-term disability benefits, life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness and business travel and accident insurance are provided or available.
