Your Core Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize IMC's North American networking infrastructure, which interconnects IMC's U.S. operations with data centers, financial exchanges, and the company's offices worldwide.
- Collaborate with IMC's global network engineering team to develop and implement design standards.
- Execute large, network-wide engineering projects.
- Design, test, and implement new network infrastructures.
- Improve the performance and availability of existing networks.
- Maintain and develop network monitoring systems.
- Manage and resolve network problems and incidents.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for relevant systems.
- Create, maintain, and monitor network availability and performance reports.
- Provide engineering support for UNIX, Windows, SAN, and data center deployment projects.

- Designing and implementing complex networks using advanced network engineering techniques in a quantitative trading environment including performance tuning, gap analysis, and automation.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting advanced network issues including TC/IP, Layer 3 protocols, Ethernet LAN, Unicast and Multicast routing, switching, packet analysis, and VPN remote access.
- Knowledge of the installation, configuration, and implementation processes for networking equipment.
- Managing, monitoring, and optimizing high performance networks using multiple, different network-switching hardware platforms.
- Coaching and mentoring new Network team members.
