You must be able to demonstrate your ability to train a high performing sales team.  This is a very active position in the dealership and your ability to foster an interactive sales floor will be key.

Sales Manager Job Responsibilities

  • Train, develop and motivate sales staff to achieve sales and CSI targets
  • Structure and desk deals for both new and used vehicle inventory in a timely and professional manner
  • Verify deal structures and ensure the accuracy of all paperwork and lending requirements
  • Obtain proper documentation and signatures for all vehicle sales and trade-in acquisitions
  • Maintain sales schedules and communicate effectively with the Finance and Sales Departments regarding deal status or issues
  • Assist with managing and maintaining inventory levels and display standards when not desking deals
  • Perform routine trade-in appraisals to ensure vehicles are accurately valued and in safe operating condition
  • Follow all dealership policies and legal compliance standards while structuring financial contracts
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the Tuttle-Click Family of Dealerships in a professional manner at all times
  • Support the Sales and Finance Teams with additional tasks as needed to maintain smooth daily operations

Automotive Sales Manager Compensation and Benefits

The Sales Manager position is paid on a pay scale that may include one or more of the following compensation elements:

  • Monthly compensation, which varies based on experience between $10,000 to
    $15,000
  • Bonus compensation may be earned based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

Actual compensation within this range will be determined by job‑related factors such as experience, qualifications, performance, and business needs. Commission compensation is not guaranteed.

Qualifications

Sales Manager Qualifications

  • Prior experience as Sales Manager or a consistent top-performing sales professional with leadership potential
  • Strong understanding of automotive sales processes, desking, and CRM platforms
  • Experience in Reynolds preferred
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
