Role Summary:
To become the destination marketplace for people to “turn your thoughts into things”, we must have broad category coverage and liquidity. Arcade will constantly redefine and expand the possibilities of what can be co-created with AI and makers. The New Category Product Manager is responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to define and execute on new product verticals for the company.
This role will partner closely with the senior leadership team, supply chain, merchandising, and marketing to understand consumer demand and category requirements. The role will collaborate with UX and engineering teams to bring the category to life.
An ideal profile for this role is entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, positive, and adept at driving cross-functional workstreams. An ideal candidate has prior PM and/or e-commerce experience and is ready to build a category-defining company surrounded by superb peers and interacting with iconic investors.
The role requires working in our sunny Presidio, SF office 4 days/week.
Responsibilities
- Define new category strategy with the company’s senior leadership team, aligning overall Arcade business goals and customer needs
- Build and manage comprehensive new category roll out roadmap and priorities
- Design and implement a scalable and repeatable framework for category launches, including operational processes and software tooling
- Partner with category managers and supply chain team to define technology and AI category requirements unique to each category
- Define differentiated value propositions in each category and associated Arcade product requirements
- Drive implementation of roadmap through partnering with designers to craft smooth user experiences and engineering teams to move concepts quickly to market
- Partner with marketing team to craft resonate consumer facing messaging and channel strategies
- Set aggressive timeline and ensure disciplined execution to achieve Arcade’s ambitious category goals
Qualifications
- 4+ years of product management experience in a high growth environment or a general management role for an e-commerce category or brand
- Exceptional project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with high interdependencies
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Ability to translate ambiguity into structured action plans and rally teams around implementation of plan
- High curiosity in learning about new product categories and production processes
- Strong collaborator and communicator
