About Broccoli AI

Broccoli AI is building the AI operating system for home service businesses.

We work with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical contractors — the people who keep homes running — and we replace fragmented tools and manual workflows with AI agents that actually do the work.

Our AI assistants answer phones, book jobs, follow up with customers, and drive revenue — fully integrated into systems like ServiceTitan.

We started by going door-to-door, meeting 100+ contractors, and understanding how these businesses actually run. That shaped everything we’ve built. Today:

  • Hundreds of contractors use Broccoli to run their front office

  • We’ve grown from $0 → millions in ARR in under a year

  • We’re trusted by both single-location operators and the largest PE-backed roll-ups

  • Raised $25M+ from Khosla Ventures and YC

The Role

We are hiring a New Verticals Lead to own how Broccoli expands across home services. Our initial customer base tended toward HVAC, electrical, and plumbing because those are the largest categories within home services. However, Broccoli extends naturally to the rest of the industry, including roofing, garage, lawn care, pest control, and more. Demand in those verticals is growing rapidly through word of mouth.

This is an end-to-end strategy role. You will go deep on how each vertical actually operates, translate those insights into product priorities, evolve how we onboard and support customers in each segment, and own the go-to-market motion that makes Broccoli the strongest choice in every trade.

What You’ll Do

Develop deep vertical expertise (spending real time with customers in each new vertical to understand how their businesses, workflows, economics, and pain points differ)

Shape the product roadmap by vertical (translating customer insights into prioritized product investments and partnering with PM and engineering on the workflows, integrations, and configurations that matter most for each segment)

Evolve onboarding and customer success (designing how we onboard, activate, and retain customers in each vertical, and building the playbooks the CS team uses to scale)

Own go-to-market by vertical (positioning, marketing materials, partnerships, tradeshow strategy, and channel motion, ensuring every vertical has a sharp, credible story)

Build the new-vertical playbook (define the repeatable framework Broccoli uses to enter, validate, and scale every future vertical).

Measure and iterate (set the success metrics for each expansion and hold yourself, and the cross-functional team, accountable to them)

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience as an operator at a PE-backed home services company, at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey), and/or high-growth startup

• High agency. You don’t wait for instructions. You see what needs to happen, build the plan, and drive it across functions.

• Strong analytical ability, including comfort structuring ambiguous problems, building business cases, and pressure-testing assumptions with data.

• Excellent executive communication, including the ability to distill complex operational data into clear insights for both internal and customer-facing audiences.

• Operator instincts. You can sit across the table from a roofing company owner or a pest control franchise GM and earn their trust quickly.

• Cross-functional fluency. You’ve worked closely with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams and know how to influence without authority.

• Excited to work in person in San Francisco.

• Bonus: prior experience in home services, field services, or vertical SaaS.
