Job Description

Who You'll  Work With

Arista is seeking a new product Operations Manager to work on our leading-edge products.  This is a critical role, ensuring that Arista products are managed throughout their lifecycle to meet customer driven requirements, and support revenue, reliability, manufacturability, testability, sustainability and supportability goals.  You will work with an experienced internal cross-disciplinary team, including product management, demand planning, product development, supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics. Externally you will help foster a strong network of technology and supply chain partners.  We are looking for a hands-on leader, interested in being part of a world-class organization while building a strong functional team.  Strong communications, problem solving, and communication skills are essential. 

What You’ll Do

  • Accountable for the overall product lifecycle of a family of Arista products, from program commit to manufacturing readiness to value engineering to portfolio management.  
  • Lead a cross-functional team from product development, manufacturing, product management, contract manufacturing partners, ODM/JDM partners, and customer support to deliver outstanding products to the market.
  • Coordinate with our technology and manufacturing partners to assure timely delivery of all prototypes and early production units, including material readiness.
  • Champion activities with a focus on meeting manufacturability, testability, reliability, sustainability and supportability objectives of our products.
  • Assure new product release objectives are met: performance, cost, quality and lead time
  • Assure product readiness at all checkpoints
  • Identify program risks and drive mitigation and prevention plans
  • In partnership with NPI engineers, lead efforts around capacity planning and capex roll out
  • Perform post-project-assessments (PPAs)  after each product release to assure continuous improvement.
  • Monitor products to assure quality metrics are being met, including production yields and RMAs
  • Monitor products to assure they are meeting cost objectives
  • Manage products throughout their lifecycle, including post-production monitoring, continuous improvement, portfolio rationalization, value engineering and end-of-life processes. 
  • In partnership with engineering, define and implement product improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is a must.  MS/MBA and PMP certification are highly desirable.
  • 3+ years of direct engineering experience in the fabrication and manufacturing of electronic products is a must.  Combined new product introduction, operations, and program management experience is highly desirable.

The following qualifications are also desirable and will differentiate candidates:

  • Direct experience in engineering product development 
  • Direct experience in product management
  • Experience working and negotiating with external partners
  • Experience working with sales and external customers
  • Significant contributions to hardware and software development processes
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to listen and simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences, and prepare summaries for executives and stakeholders
  • Local candidates

Compensation Information:

The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $122,000 to $166,000.

Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.

The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection. The recruiting team can share more details during the hiring process specific to the role and location.
