Sciforium is an AI infrastructure company developing next-generation multimodal AI models and a proprietary, high-efficiency serving platform. Backed by multi-million-dollar funding and direct sponsorship from AMD with hands-on support from AMD engineers the team is scaling rapidly to build the full stack powering frontier AI models and real-time applications.

About the role

As an Office Manager on our team, you will be the backbone of our office operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll create a welcoming and organized environment, supporting both employees and visitors while handling a variety of administrative and operational tasks. Your role will be integral in maintaining a positive workplace culture and keeping our office space optimized for productivity.

You'll own the physical and day-to-day operating environment of the company: the office, the vendors, the equipment, and the first-day experience of every new hire. In this role, you'll take the recurring office work and build the systems that help us as we scale.

What you'll own

If it's about the office, it's yours.

  • Office and workplace: daily upkeep (plants, meeting rooms reset, kitchen clean), maintenance requests logged and chased with building management until fixed, the cleaning service, keys and badge access, and safety basics like fire extinguishers and first-aid kits.

  • Supplies and inventory: keep office, kitchen and other areas supplies stocked, own stocking requests from the team, and run an inventory tracker with reorder points and a monthly count.

  • Furniture, seating and contractors: seating plans as headcount grows; hire and manage contractors to assemble and install desks, chairs, monitor arms and shelving, from quotes and insurance to scheduling and sign-off.

  • Vendors: single point of contact for our snack and water vendor (Office Libations), cleaning, catering, plants, furniture, IT and AV, and couriers: ordering, deliveries, invoices and renewals. Source and negotiate new vendors and keep the vendor list current.

  • Meeting rooms and AV: AV requests for the conference rooms and the CEO's office (TV screens, video conferencing, mics, cables), first-line troubleshooting with spares on hand, and escalation to our IT or AV vendor.

  • New hire setup: Badges, desks and day-one logistics, so every new hire is productive from their first hour.

  • Equipment and inventory: track hardware and office assets; handle returns and replacements for departing employees.

  • Events and culture logistics: all-hands setup, team celebrations, offsites, and visitor or customer days at the office.

  • Executive support logistics: keep the CEO's office and meeting spaces ready for customers, investors and partners.

  • Office expansion: support the search for and move into new space as headcount grows: tours, broker coordination, move planning, landlords and contractors.

  • Budget and playbook: track office and culture spend against a monthly budget and flag variances early; write the office playbook and onboarding checklist so the team can self-serve.

What you bring
  • 3+ years in office, workplace or operations roles, ideally at a fast-growing startup.

  • Experience managing vendors and a budget, with a bias for getting a better deal.

  • Comfort with basic IT setup: laptops, accounts, AV and conference room systems.

  • Strong organization: you build checklists and systems instead of relying on memory.

  • Hands-on and practical: you'll assemble a chair, reset a router or carry boxes when that's the fastest fix.

  • Warmth and judgment: you're the first face many people see, and you handle sensitive situations discreetly.

  • Ownership: you notice what's broken before anyone asks and fix it.

  • Bachelor degree required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization

Nice to have: you've run an office move or build-out, or planned team events.

This role is on site in San Francisco five days a week, with occasional early or late hours for deliveries, contractors and events.

Benefits include
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401k plan

  • Daily lunch, snacks, and beverages

  • Flexible time off

  • Competitive salary and equity
