IMC is seeking an Operations Developer to join highly collaborative Middle Office technology team supporting critical operational workflows. In this role, you'll build and maintain custom data pipelines and internal tools that support reconciliation, reporting, and trade-related processes across the business. IMC is seeking an Operations Developer to join highly collaborative Middle Office technology team supporting critical operational workflows. In this role, you'll build and maintain custom data pipelines and internal tools that support reconciliation, reporting, and trade-related processes across the business. You'll work closely with analysts, finance, and trading support teams in a fast-paced environment where reliability, automation, and operational excellence matter.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Work with the Mid-Office, Finance, and Trading teams daily to ensure all data has landed for reconciliation and reporting
- Monitor for production issues and provide a quick response to help eliminate downtime in our operational pipeline
- Work with our various data providers, both internal and external, to ensure timely delivery of data and to provide feedback on file formats/data quality
- Work on various projects to help automate new and existing operational processes
- Document technical processes for business users to allow better understanding and the ability to troubleshoot
- Develop new and maintain existing Front-end applications to keep up with our evolving operational environment
Your Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of direct, hands-on Python development experience (OOP, Unit Tests, Type Hints)
- 3+ years of direct, hand-on SQL experience (CTEs, Indexes, Stored Procedure)
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server is preferred
- Experience gathering business requirements, communicating with key stakeholders and delivering solutions quickly
- Excellent command of the Python language and ETL development
- Automation focused mindset
- Qualifications in Computer Science, Data Development, or Workforce Automation
- Previous experience within financial services is beneficial but not a prerequisite
- Experience with QlikSense is beneficial but not a prerequisite
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and gitlab CI/CD is beneficial but not a prerequisite
