About the Team

Platform Partnerships builds and grows the relationships that extend OpenAI products through the world’s most important technology platforms. The team works across Product, Engineering, Research, Go-to-Market, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Policy, and Operations to turn partner opportunities into durable product experiences and business outcomes.

We’re hiring a Partner Manager, Channel Monetization to help build, scale, and manage a portfolio of strategic platform and monetization partnerships. You will drive day-to-day strategy and execution, help shape joint roadmaps and commercial opportunities, and translate shared ambition into measurable adoption, usage, revenue, distribution, and product impact.

This is a hands-on individual-contributor role for a skilled generalist who can move between partnership strategy and detailed execution. You will own day-to-day execution across priority relationships, collaborate with senior partnership leads and cross-functional teams, create structure where playbooks are still emerging, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and step into the product, commercial, and operating details required to move work forward.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive day-to-day partnership strategy and execution across priority partners, working closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Go-to-Market, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Policy, and Operations to align roadmaps and deliver outcomes.

  • Own a portfolio of strategic partnerships as businesses: set direction, prioritize opportunities, and drive outcomes aligned with OpenAI’s product and company goals.

  • Contribute to multi-year expansion strategies and joint plans that connect product roadmaps, commercial opportunities, go-to-market motions, and measurable outcomes.

  • Support complex deal execution and commercial negotiations from partner evaluation through product integration, launch, expansion, and renewal.

  • Operate as a cross-functional driver, aligning internal teams and external partners around clear priorities, owners, dependencies, launch readiness, and decisions.

  • Build trusted executive and working-level relationships across both organizations, creating direct communication, shared accountability, and thoughtful pushback when priorities conflict.

  • Establish and run partner operating cadences, including roadmap reviews, business reviews, planning sessions, launch-readiness reviews, issue resolution, and escalation paths.

  • Translate partner needs, technical constraints, customer feedback, and market signals into clear product, ecosystem, and go-to-market recommendations.

  • Define success metrics and communicate performance, risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities through concise, decision-ready materials for internal stakeholders and executives.

  • Resolve blockers with urgency and turn successful first-of-kind work into simple, reusable playbooks and operating models as the portfolio scales.

You might thrive in this role if you:

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, product partnerships, product, or related technology roles.

  • Proven experience supporting or leading complex strategic partnerships from 0 to 1 and through scale, including technical or product integrations and measurable commercial, adoption, distribution, or product outcomes.

  • Strong product and technical judgment, with the ability to work credibly with Product and Engineering on APIs, integrations, developer platforms, data flows, agents, or emerging products.

  • Experience supporting or structuring complex commercial and technical agreements while balancing near-term outcomes with long-term strategic value.

  • Strong cross-functional operating skills and experience aligning Product, Engineering, Research, Go-to-Market, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Policy, and Operations to execute complex initiatives.

  • Strong strategic judgment and problem-solving skills, using data and sound judgment to navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing opportunities, and make tradeoffs.

  • Clear communication across executive, technical, commercial, and operational audiences, including through high-quality written plans and decision materials.

  • Ability to build trust, resolve conflict, and manage expectations across functions and company boundaries without relying on formal authority.

  • High agency, low ego, adaptability, and exceptional follow-through; willing to do the detailed work required to move an outcome forward.

  • Experience operating in a high-growth company or a scaled technology platform is preferred.
