Own the technical side of Anrok’s partner ecosystem by developing integration strategies, enabling partner engineering and sales teams, supporting embedded partnerships, maintaining prebuilt integrations, and identifying new connector opportunities. Build technical relationships with billing, payment, ERP, accounting, and consulting partners; create documentation, demos, reference architectures, and enablement materials; and translate ecosystem needs into product and engineering roadmap input. Some travel to partner sites and industry events is expected.

Anrok is the leading AI-driven tax automation platform enabling businesses to expand globally without compliance complexity.

As the digital economy has grown 6x over the last decade, software businesses have gone from not worrying about sales tax to needing to monitor exposure, calculate rates, and file returns across 20+ US states and many countries worldwide. This creates a critical bottleneck for companies that should be able to transact with customers everywhere.

Anrok eliminates this complexity by connecting with billing and payment systems to automate tax monitoring, calculations, and filing end-to-end. Our unified platform handles the ever-changing maze of tax laws at municipal, state, and federal levels—so companies can focus on growth, not compliance.

Our customers include:

  • 40% of Forbes Top 50 AI companies

  • 20% of Forbes Top 100 Cloud companies

  • Top companies like Notion, Anthropic, and Cursor

We're making compliant digital commerce a reality for companies big and small, backed by over $50M from leading investors including Sequoia, Index, and Khosla Ventures.

We're seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer to own the technical side of Anrok's partner ecosystem. Anrok sits downstream of every billing, payments, and ERP system our customers run, which means our partners are how most of our customers find us and how every one of them gets tax right. This role makes that ecosystem work: deeper integrations, partners who can position Anrok accurately without us in the room, and new partnerships that expand where Anrok can show up.

You'll become the technical face of Anrok to partner engineering and product teams — mastering our API, the quote-to-cash workflows our partners own, and enough sales tax and VAT depth to be the person a partner's CTO wants on the call. You'll also work the inside track: helping our Account Executives know which partner to bring into a deal and when, and helping Product understand what the ecosystem needs next.

This is a build role. Anrok's partner motion is early, and you'll have real latitude to shape what it becomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Build durable technical relationships with our integration partners — billing platforms, payment processors, ERPs, and the accounting and consulting firms that implement them. You'll be the named technical contact their teams actually call.

  • Run technical enablement for partners: solution deep-dives, architecture reviews, demo environments, sample code, and reference implementations, so partner teams can scope and position Anrok accurately on their own.

  • Drive best-in-class integrations by teaching partners what Anrok does well and where the real tax edge cases live. Push existing integrations from functional to excellent.

  • Design and land embedded partnerships, where a partner surfaces Anrok's tax capabilities natively inside their own product. You'll scope the technical shape of these, build the case internally with Product and Engineering, and see them through to launch.

  • Own the technical lifecycle of our prebuilt integrations — building and maintaining them where that's the right move, and partnering with Engineering to productionize the ones that need to scale.

  • Equip the Sales team to use the ecosystem: which partner to bring in, at what stage, for which technical problem. Build the internal enablement that makes this repeatable rather than tribal.

  • Source and evaluate new partner opportunities, including for lead generation. Build the business case for new connectors and integrations, and be honest about which ones aren't worth building.

  • Serve as the voice of the partner ecosystem to Product and Engineering, turning what you hear across dozens of partner conversations into high-signal roadmap input.

  • Expect some travel for partner onsites and industry events.

This role is not partner account management, and it's not a support desk for partner tickets. It's a leverage function: you build the technical credibility and the reusable assets that let partners sell, integrate, and support Anrok without you in every conversation.

What excites us:

  • 4+ years in Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a similar partner- or customer-facing technical role.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and integration architecture. You can read a partner's API docs and tell them where the tax logic should live.

  • Experience working with technology partners, ISVs, or platform ecosystems — co-solutioning, joint architecture work, or technical enablement at scale.

  • You're as comfortable with a partner's VP of Engineering as you are with their sales team and our AEs.

  • You build things that outlast the conversation: documentation, demos, reference architectures, internal enablement. Strong written communication is a must.

  • You're comfortable owning a cross-functional initiative where you have to earn buy-in from leaders who don't report to you.

  • Familiarity with quote-to-cash, billing platforms (Stripe, Chargebee, Recurly, Zuora, NetSuite), or indirect tax is a strong plus. Deep curiosity about it is the requirement.
